Islamic state kills 62+ Russian concert

It brought back harrowing memories of the Islamic State assault on Paris's Bataclan concert hall in 2015 when 89 people were shot dead.

And in a statement released on Telegram tonight the extremist group said: 'IS fighters attacked a large gathering on the outskirts of the Russian capital Moscow' before they had 'retreated to their bases safely'.

Senior Russian security official and ex-president Dmitry Medvedev said those who masterminded the shooting should be hunted down and killed.

Medvedev, deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, made the statement on his official account on the Telegram messenger service.

'All of them must be found and ruthlessly destroyed as terrorists,' said Medvedev. 'Death for death.'

I wonder what the terrorist supporters in this forum will say about the latest Islamic terror attack.

The Islamic state has done a couple of concert massacres with the usual Allahu Akbars while doing it.

Hamas like the Islamic state have also massacred innocent people at a concert on Oct 7th. People have been saying for quite some time Hamas = ISIS.

The morally bankrupt leftists will condemn this latest attack in Russia yet will blame the victims for Hamas attack on Oct 7th when Hamas follow the same ideology as ISIS.

At least Russia isn't going to pussyfoot around like the west when they find these terrorists

ISIS has claimed responsibility for an attack at a popular concert venue complex near Moscow that left at least 115 dead and many more wounded after assailants stormed the venue with guns and incendiary devices.

The Kremlin said all four suspects directly involved in the attack have been arrested while trying to cross the border to Ukraine, along with several others.

State-run RIA Novosti reported the armed individuals “opened fire with automatic weapons” and “threw a grenade or an incendiary bomb, which started a fire.”

Earlier this month, the US embassy in Russia said it was “monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow,” including concerts.

“After the terrorist attack, the criminals intended to cross the border of the Russian Federation and Ukraine and had relevant contacts on the Ukrainian side, the FSB said,” according to RIA.

State-owned Russian news agency TASS also reported that the assailants had “contacts on the Ukrainian side. The terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall was carefully planned.”

Neither agency specified the nature of the alleged contacts.

Ukraine has strenuously denied any connection with the attack. One official, Mykhailo Podolyak said in a post on X on Friday that Ukraine “has never resorted to the use of terrorist methods. It is always pointless.”

MOSCOW, March 23 (Reuters) - Russia has arrested 11 people including four suspected gunmen in connection with a shooting rampage that killed at least 143 people in a concert hall near Moscow, the Kremlin said on Saturday.
Militant Islamist group Islamic State claimed responsibility for Friday's attack, the deadliest in Russia for 20 years. But there were indications that Russia was pursuing a Ukrainian link, despite a statement from Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak that Kyiv had nothing to do with it.

The FSB security service said "all four terrorists" had been arrested while heading to the Ukrainian border, and that they had contacts in Ukraine. It said they were being transferred to Moscow.
"Now we know in which country these bloody bastards planned to hide from pursuit - Ukraine," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Telegram.

A senior Russian lawmaker, Andrei Kartapolov, said that if Ukraine was involved, then Russia must deliver a "worthy, clear and concrete" reply on the battlefield.

State TV editor Margarita Simonyan published a video of one of the suspects, a young bearded man, being interrogated by the side of a road. She said the death toll had climbed to 143 but did not give the source of her information.

Russia's Investigative Committee earlier said at least 115 had died in the attack, in which camouflage-clad gunmen opened fire with automatic weapons at concertgoers in the Crocus City Hall near the capital.

Earlier Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the Russian people that the perpetrators had “tried to hide and moved towards Ukraine, where, according to preliminary data, a window was prepared for them on the Ukrainian side to cross the border." A handful of Russian officials have suggested without evidence that Ukraine may have been involved in the attack as well.

Yusov called Putin's comments "completely false and absurd."

"A full-scale war has been going on for more than two years. The border areas are saturated with enemy troops, special agents, and security forces. The border line is heavily mined. It is being monitored by all means, including aerial reconnaissance on both sides," Yusov said. "Such regions as Belgorod and Kursk are now a zone of active hostilities. Of course, this claim does not stand up to criticism."
