Not just people/prisoners …things travel too!

And sometimes something from past or historical, will come along in a new spot, in a different country even!
I walked across Main Street and sat under shade of tree to see what this big contraption was!
Went and had a read, and thought, all this time I’ve been there and I never noticed it before!
Too busy looking for restaurants  Grin piggy moiye  Grin

It reads ….
This historic bollard was presented by the city of Westminster London England, to the shire of Mornington to mark its centenary on 31st May 1993.
The bollard originally stood at the head of steps to the river Thames opposite the Milbank prison from where until 1867, prisoners sentenced to transportation embarked on their journey to Australia.
