UK Navy made big mistake by moving from sail power
Mar 12th, 2024 at 12:07am

UK Aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth will probably retire a battlefield virgin after continual and long-lasting breakdowns.

Will make more money as a tourist attraction titled the ship that died of shame.

They should at least have knocked some holes in the side of UK ships and aircraft carriers to stick oars through.

The UK has gone backward in technology since WW2.

Britain’s HMS Queen Elizabeth has caught fire while docked in Scotland to unload ammunition prior to having its propeller shaft repaired. The propeller issue had caused the £3 billion ($3.85 billion) warship to miss NATO’s largest exercise in decades last month.

The blaze broke out while the carrier was docked at Glenmallan on Friday night, a Royal Navy spokesperson said on Saturday. “A minor, isolated fire on HMS Queen Elizabeth was quickly brought under control and extinguished,” the spokesman told the UK Defence Journal. ...

It's more to do with the fact that major Technology 'bleeds' money.

Russia just took out a $200million US Patriot Missile System in Ukraine. Boom! All over and $200million down the gurgler just like that.

World War 3 will be a technologically 'costly' war that will send the participating nations down the gurgler economically.

It would be like Germany, going backwards into pre-war financial poverty.

The UK is so broke it couldn't even afford sail power for the UK Navy.

Whatever technical skills the UK had after WW2 appear to have gone missing.

I am surprised the UK submarines are not all lying on the seabed somewhere. However, this is probably because they hardly ever leave their base.
