Police and the Mardi Gras

A homo kills two guys in some jealous homo love triangle thing, and the killer is also a cop, so the Mardi Gras has asked Police not to march in the parade.

Isn't the whole idea of inclusion that people shouldn't be judged by what group they happen to be in but based on who they are? And wouldn't it be fair to say the killers actions were more based on him being a jealous homo rather than a cop?

And is the Mardi Gras committee still going to accept NSW Police provide tax payer funder event security?

In light of this, the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Board feels that having the NSW Police march this year could add to the distress within our communities, already deeply affected by recent events. The Board has taken the decision to request that the Police do not march in the 2024 Parade.
