Researchers estimate that Taylor Swift merchandise sales may total
$66 million in Sydney alone. Swift is estimated to take away a
$22.3 million cut while
fans are estimated to spend an average
of $1,300 per person.
Patrick Scully-Sanders (below) is spending nearly $20,000 to attend
the Eras Tour, but for Taylor Swift, he says it is worth it.

The Swiftie super-fan from Perth worked three jobs to fund his attendance
including $2,500 worth of merchandise—the average fan spends $208 on
merchandise alone.
He plans to attend all seven Australian concerts in Melbourne and Sydney,
and bought top-tier VIP tickets valued at $1,250 each, for six out of the
seven concerts. On top of the tickets, he also bought merchandise at a
pop-up sale including hoodies, posters, and water bottles.
