The banning of a forum member (on any forum) should be considered
an absolute last resort by any/all moderators. The decision shouldn't
be taken lightly or frivolously, or out of simple vexation with the banned
member.

The first option should be to bench the member for 7 days or a couple
of weeks or whatever. And if that member meets the prerequisites of
a second and/or future ban, then they're permanently banned.

It would appear that on OzPol, this is far from its standard procedure.
It seems that bans are thrown around willy-nilly, purely on the personal
whims of each forum's moderators—who seem to change as often as
I change my undies.

Can I ask if there is a formal warning and/or banning
procedure in place under OzPol's T&Cs?

ell John Snot first, then Drunk Monk second and now B_light - all ASKED ME TO BAN THEM.
They basically forced me to save 'face', so to speak.
John & Monk purposely pushed me to ban them by consciously doing all the wrong things - their aim was to 'get banned' so for some stupid reasoning of theirs, they hoped to make me out to look like a Dictator Moderator.
So in essence, they won in their aim and I lost in preventing any bannings. They are now permanently banned.
As a MODERATOR - I too have to play by the Rules.
John Snotty Smith just breached another Board Ban and is thus Forum-wide Banned.
Nothing 'personal' against B_light. Told him to stick to the 'Theme of the Topic', he told me to stick it where it matters. I told him I supported his other Topic inclusions as they related to the Board Theme. He couldn't abide by the call of a Moderator, because he wasn't the Moderator and for someone playing himself off as 'spiritually superior' to everyone - continued to post 'abusive, non-compliant and trolling' behaviour. I asked him if he wanted to be banned too? He gave me the affirmative. So I banned him and then he breached his ban towards a Forum Wide Ban.

So you see - all three were asked if they wanted me to ban them and all three gave the affirmative.

SO GO FU_CK YOURSELVES

We have an unfortunate situation on Ozpolitic where MRB mods
can ban someone even if they haven't broken any of their rules

I think the Gmods should intervene and ask
