F.B. Marketplace.

Well I must admit… it’s the place to buy/sell.
Today I clinched a $60 tv cabinet 2000mm long for a big TV
And a buffet side table with wine rack for $180
Both in really good condition, and solid wood!
None of this flat pack crap.

Surprisingly a lot of solid wood shelving or dressers or drawers are incredible prices or free!

Good thing is I can make the area search within 15 kms radius so don’t have to travel far.

Gumtree is getting quieter with ads FB marketplace is taking over.

I remember back in the day (yes here I go) when all we had was the Melbourne Trading Post.
Then that diminished with the advent of the internet.
EBay was hot to trot.
Then Gumtree made the grades.
And not forgetting garage sales… but that’s faded away since the lockdowns happened.
Amazing how times change certain things.

But I have been scrolling for days looking at all the amazing furniture in marketplace. It’s such good value compared to furniture places like HN etc. I found something I really like but it’s on the other side of city. An art deco original designed unit.
Love art deco style.
The way cost of living is rising, any wonder places like marketplace are flourishing with young ones.
This is like people helping people.
Well I’m a happy lil Vegemite today!  Smiley

With the amount of break-ins and home robberies, even porch piracy and online hacking and scammings.
I would say there's another 'Marketplace' where people get things for 'Free'.

One of the problems for me buying online Sophia is
that our relatively isolated rural location limits what,
and from whom we can buy.

There's very little chance of me finding something
within, say, a 90km radius around our home.  Which
means private Gumtree or Facebook sellers won't
deliver, and I don't have a suitably-sized vehicle for
picking stuff up.

And—for example— both The Good Guys and Hardly
Normal in Traralgon refuse to deliver more than
around 20km.
