Gee. Australian architecture seems 'boring' in comparison.
Guess the Opera House (thanks to a Dane) was a one off.

You can always go to the new Penrith Beach.  Almost $2 million and only 63 kms from the ocean lol.

Be quick though it's only open until March.

I don't begrudge it out there, it gets as hot as Hades, but it isn't a beach.  They should call it a water hole or something closer to what it is.

It’s more a lake than beach.
Still looks nice for those that live nearby to go somewhere close to swim safely and refresh.

It's a Beach Sophia.
Just like the one (sand) I went to often at the back of Yanco along the Murrumbidgee R.

I was pleased to hear of that for the 'Westies'.
Now, if they can only do that for the rest of Inland Australia.

Penrith and the Basin West can get very hot.
No coastal breeze gets there.
In fact, it was so bloody hot, while working construction out at Cobbitty in SW Sydney that I was having my 3rd heatstroke and decided to finish up in Sydney once and for all. The money just wasn't worth it. Never looked back.

That’s good.. having these beaches inland for suburbs too far from beaches on hot days.
It looks lovely and clean and refreshing too.

I remember in our youth, living in rural, the few times we drive over an hour in a hot car with no air con… to the beach… then get back in car on hot vinyl seats to drive over an hour back home again.
It was any wonder we took to swimming in the muddy dams to cool off more often. Was good that. Thank goodness for farm dams.
