ALL Sub Forum Mods positions should be appointed

I’m unable to post in Feedback so I’m placing this here:

I’ve stated from the get go that given shared and multi ids are allowed on OzPol (I have no idea why because that’s the cause of so much conflict) no sub forum election will be construed as being fair, honest or transparent.

In the interests of sanity and harmony I’ve continuously pleaded for sub forum positions to be formally appointed collectively by Freediver AND both GMods who would select the best person for the unpaid role out of a panel of those who responded to an Expression of Interest in the said role.

My request has been met with harsh and needless criticism.

I do not understand why BOTH GMods don’t wish to follow such a simple suggestion. They’ve certainly not given me a valid reason.

I’m hoping Freediver will read this post and discuss the matters it raises ...further with both GMods in the mod room.

I have called for appointment of Mods before and for reforms to the election process several times in vain.

Environment shows how stupid elections are here with the Environment Mod practically only ever posting stupid YouTubes about so–called cute or funny animals nowadays. Environment should be on 200,000 posts buit is now trailing sadly behind Relationshits and Extremism. I have put on 10K posts in about 2 years (excluding bans which were ridiculous in 2021: 3 months, 3 fortnights, 1 month etc. NEVER an explanation which suggests that the bans were not for breaches of rules–that is nearly the number of posts Environment has put on in two or three times the time.

Candidates for Mod should commit to being here at least once a week say. When a position comes up and candidates nominate why not have them produce an agenda of what they think the board is about, how it could progress and what they would do to progress it. Doubt it will ever happen.

I asked for the name of my board to be changed to “Critters and Gardens” because “Cats and Critters” just means “Critters and Critters” eh?

I also asked for a nicer board icon and supplied FD with a nice butterfly icon that could be used. That was like 3 years ago. Nothing changed.
