Whats going on?
Nov 16th, 2023 at 1:42pm

I'm supposed to be attending a property auction tonight for a an investment property that will be really stretching us financially,  but a big risk big reward kind of thing.

So today, one thing after another has gone wrong, all minor stuff but just annoying and time consuming and making it really hard for me to get everything done and to the auction on time.

Is it:
A: The universe warning me not to go to the auction and buy the place.
B: The universe conspiring against me because it doesn't want ME to buy the place.
C: Just a random string of events that would go unnoticed on any other day?

" big risk big reward? "

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is.

What's the bet that a Chinaman will outbid you?

There's nothing inherently risky about the property, apart from the fact we could be biting off more than we can chew.

What is the universe trying to tell me?

Have you done your due diligence?

What interest rates have you been looking at? What level are they at?

the universe will usually arrange to deliver to your door the lessons you need for your personal growth

if today has been full of frustrations and distractions, it could be testing you to see if you have patience.

because the profit in real estate is not in the buying or the selling but in the patience to hang on even when there are distractions and frustrations

the universe is saying

'if you cant get thru this poo test, you shouldnt commit to a much bigger one"

That's the take I had.  Isn't it funny tho on a day like today you get bombarded with annoyances.

I received a few good deals which were sent through to my email account this morning.

3 different lenders

Hopefully your rates (and cashback offers) are competitive.

Meantime I’ll source the email in question and post it up for you.

Good luck 👍

For the record...I’m glad I’m not in the position of buying anything atm (given the current credit squeeze and high interest rate climate).

Well, you had you ear turned to the universe and so you heard what it said about your deal.
As the poet Aqua said, it told you what you needed to hear.

But that's the bugger about oracles and omens - only you can interpret them, in your own way, for your own life.
Condemned to freedom, as the gnome of Paris put it.

annoyances need to be seen as life happening FOR you, not TO you.

and you need to quickly reframe an annoyance  as an opportunity.

great lessons to teach your kids too gordy.

let them see dad smiling in the face of a bit of adversity .

they will never remember what you say but they will surely model how you act

No purchase today, and I was the only round eye bidding in a room full of dirty Chinese money. The winning bidder was so Chinese every one of his bids was ending with an 88. I pushed him all the way and threw in a few unlucky 4s to piss him off Smiley

Ha! That made me laugh.

Honestly though it’s probably a blessing in disguise. I personally wouldn’t be buying anything just yet.

A Chinaman bought Mum’s property. Levelled the house, garage and garden shed. He then divided the property into two long skinny lots and put them on the market. Then took them off.

Despite the street number being a lucky number I guess it wasn’t a lucky purchase for him!

Ben Fordham did a podcast on "‘China takeover’ - Foreign buyers raiding Aussie real estate" that's worth a listen.

4 minutes.

https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/china-takeover-foreign-buyers-raiding-auss...

In the last financial year Chinese have spent $3.4 billion on Australian properties, $600 million from Hong Kong, $400 million from Vietnam, $300 million from Taiwan, $300 million from Singapore etc whilst many Aussies can't even afford to buy or rent.

The Chinese are tripping over themselves to get their money out of China before the CCP confiscates it or its worth is reduced to junk.

The Xi doctrine is that wealth and affluence have corrupted the Chinese psyche and must be stamped out.

Australia is the only country in the world foolish enough to allow such a high percentage of foreign ownership in residential and commercial real estate and of selling off its public infrastructure assets to foreign purchasers for a quick dollar.

Both the Libs and the ALP in NSW have been promising to limit foreign real estate purchases for decades and neither has done a thing about it.

And here we are!

It’s inherently risky just the same.

Get some chicken bones and jiggle them around in a bag and then empty them onto the ground.
They should tell you to 'chicken out' of this one.

Which is good. When Australia goes to War with China - all those Properties and Estates will become forfeited and owned by anyone who wants to Squat in them for legal takeover.  Wink

Actually today we felt a bit bummed we didn't get it. It would have been a good long term money spinner.

Last month we looked at a place not far from us for sale, we wouldn't buy it as it's not a big enough upgrade, but it was all filthy dirty rich Chinese looking through it. One family arrived in 3 cars, I spotted a G-Wagon and a Lambo SUV. It obviously sold to a Chinaman.

Gotta say tho, I feel sorry for the people going for a first home who get out competed by Chinese.

Don't be surprised if I 'steal' a major slice of estate and infrastructure that is currently Chinese owned, right under their noses. Great ocean views.
...just waiting for China to start a war they won't be able to finish and you watch them all default and forced to forfeit on a lot that they own in this country.  Wink

Oh so that’s what’s happening!
We’ve got Chinese buying vineyards, and lately, Chinese are buying Woolies supermarket in Monbulk!
A sleepy little village like Monbulk!  Shocked
And that’s just what I know locally!

The last annoying thing that happened last night, on the way to pick up my wife to go to the auction I stopped for petrol. The pump I used must have been a bit defective because it was a bit wet with petrol like it was seeping out near the trigger. Usually no biggy but I was pressed for time, and took 5 mins in the washroom getting the petrol smell off my hands.

It was just a day like that all day!

Weird when that happens… nothing … then a cluster of annoyances and distractions!
I think it means…. your ancestors spirits foretelling you if you could handle all the extra hassles in your life like some sort of test   Smiley maybe.

Aah I get it… these usual annoying things just seem more amplified when it will annoy the most!

Hah!  Yesterday I filled up with diesel - first click ... then a little click more (only take a tetch more anyway) - stopped at exactly $100.00.  No - I didn't preset it.

What Seinfeld would have called 'the perfect pump' ... but he's egocentric....

I use a cloth on the oily diesel pump - I believe it is Bobby's end of times ... there will be portents in the sky and on the earth... the diesel pumps will read 100, and the petrol pumps - the staff of life - will bleed over the landscape and the hands of the users will be fouled ... time's up.....

Maybe that $100.00 is telling me I'm past my use by date.. 100% time used ... bit late - I'm about twenty years past my use by date - so the Universe still needs me for something... someone has to lead the war to end all whores in politics........must be me ..... could've been a goner in me twenties, but the Universe had other ideas...
