Election for new Mod in Tavern

So, it seems that FD has finally realised (after endless warnings from me) what a doxxing and dangerous arsehole AiA is/was and has given him the permanent heave ho, and thus there is to be an election for a new Mod for that Member Run Board. ("MRB.")

There was a Thread in Tavern about it but that thread has disappeared.

So, here is one where comments can be made whenever you like.

Booby thought he could Mod Tavern and Environment at the same time.

The mind boggles.

I mean, the only posts the gaylord has made that are not a reaction to lees’ rubbish are Critters and Gardens topics that are off topic in Environment.

Then the clown argued that my “The Sun” thread belongs in Environment and threads should be where they belong! What hypocrisy by the gaylord!

Larry wants to Mod Tavern. Larry had previously said a board like Tavern that encouraged drinking (does it?) should not be on Ozpol.

Tavern should be run with a light touch, not get bogged down and Larry will destroy it in no time.

It is a great pity that my idea (from the sewer I acknowledge) that the nominees for Mod should publish a manifesto of how they would run Tavern was just deleted out of hand. Christ, what a way to show utter contempt for the members!

It is not easy to work out what makes a board like Tavern work. Chat, yes, maybe a slightly raunchier, non-political version of Chat? Talk about the weather not climate, talk about nice meals eaten in a tavern or restaurant or café. Talk about famous taverns (What actually IS a tavern?)

Be nice to see some indication from the members standing for election as Mod how they see the Tavern board and how they would run it, hope it develops in certain ways. Existing threads not conducive to how the new Mod sees Tavern develop can be locked and they will be pushed off the front page soon enough.
