What we have here is the clash of two Semitic cults.

"These are biblical lands promised to us"

When it comes to prehistoric land claims, abandon all hope for peace.

If we've learned nothing else from the clash of ancient religious cultures, we should at least have learned that - it's what Gandhi feared would happen if India was ever partitioned - he was right, as it turned out.

Ancient religious claims and tenets are tenacious and, when woven into the social and political fabric of a culture, they can easily survive multiple millennia.

Israel is an actual, modern country, attacked by barbarians.

Israel ARE the barbarians

All nation-states are barbarian, when the cause demands it.

Crap.  Not many nations have bombed thousands of kids.

Really? Read up on history.

Those states that have survived are those that have done whatever it takes to survive.

Statehood is not a god-given right, it is the result of its citizens' capacity to hold it together no matter the cost.

I don't give a crap about history.  You've already been educated on the difference between the modern worlds military capabilities and that of yesteryears.  Are you just slow or do you like being wrong?

Name a state that would not kill every enemy man, woman and child to defend itself if the need demanded it.

You been on the cool aid again? Is Israel defending itself from all those dangerous babies sleeping in their incubators? Or was it the kids hiding under their beds that scared Israel?
Cheesy

How many babies did the Allies kill when they bombed Tokyo, Nagasaki and Hiroshima?

How many German babies did the Allies kill when they bombed German and Italian cities?

How many Abyssinian babies did Italy kill when it invaded Abyssinia?

Do you think Australia wouldn't target civilians in the event of an existental threat?

The Jewish people didn't have any country between about 200B.C. and 1948.

I doubt that babies in incubators are a significant threat or innocent civilians for that matter. Maybe Israel should look at doing something about real threats. Maybe they could try going after Hamas ?

Again,  you keep going back to WWII. Cheesy  We're in a different world.  Israel can very well target Hamas without blowing up civilians.  They can send a bomb through your bathroom window whilst you're on the shitter if they so wanted. The need to carpet bomb whole cities is no longer the only option in the modern world.  It's the option terrorists take.

Nation-states are legal entities that exist because the world order wills that they exist and that they have defendable borders and that their history has proved their borders are defendable.

Other than that, territory is up for grabs.

Are you saying it's perfectly okay for Israel to slaughter newborn babies because other countries have done the same thing in the past?

Seriously?

As a gay man, I'm guessing you'd like to imagine the world is all about peace and love.

It would have to be for you.

You don't have family you'd defend with your life or whatever it took and you rely on others for security.

How many of you lot have ever stopped a war?

They're working their way up.

First, they slaughter the babies, then the children, then the women, and then they'll wipe out all the men.

It's all part of the strategically planned genocide.

The genocide you condone, and encourage.
