The Great Oil Conspiracy: It has been known since the end of WWII that oil is not a fossil fuel; it is abiotic
By Rhoda Wilson on October 1, 2023

There are two basic theories for the origin of crude oil: biotic and abiotic.

The origin of petroleum or natural gas may seem like a strange debate to have but determining whether this fuel is a fossil fuel or not is important.

If these fuels are truly fossil fuels, then they are limited in supply and alternative energy resources would need to be created at some point.

If they are not fossil fuels and are created through some form of abiogenesis – a natural process from non-living matter – then the need to develop alternative fuels is diminished.

The biotic theory is that oil and gas drilled out of the earth come from the remains of plants and animals trapped underground millions of years ago.  These “fossil fuels” took aeons to form and we are using them up far faster than they can be replenished.

This fossil fuel theory is, however, just that – a theory. There are many features of the fossil-origin theory which still apparently puzzle some scientists.  So, what if the whole theory is wrong?

The abiotic theory is an opposing view that has substantial evidence to back it up.  This theory goes back centuries and includes as its prominent champions Dimitri Mendeleev, best known for inventing the periodic table.

Abiotic Oil Theory

While the chemistry is quite complex, environmental chemist Tristan Coleman wrote, the principle behind the abiotic oil idea is actually quite simple.

Carbon present in the magma beneath the Earth’s crust reacts with hydrogen to form methane and other hydrocarbons, with many chemically complex intermediate stages. Certain mineral rocks such as granite and other silicon-based rocks act as non-depleting catalysts to speed up the process.

Experiments have shown that under extreme conditions of heat and pressure, it is possible to convert iron oxide, calcium carbonate and water into methane as well as hydrocarbons containing up to ten carbon atoms. Such experiments have been undertaken last century by Russian scientists as well as more recently in the US, and even more recently in Sweden.

The conditions in the Earth’s mantle would be sufficient for these small hydrocarbons to polymerise into the longer chain molecules found in crude oil, for example. Moreover, the limited oxygen present in the Earth’s magma prevents the hydrocarbons from burning up despite the intense heat and pressure.

The hydrocarbons of abiotic origin then migrate out of the mantle into the crust until they escape to the surface or are trapped by impermeable strata, forming petroleum reservoirs.

No fossils but plenty of hydrocarbon lakes on Titan - a Moon of Saturn:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakes_of_Titan

Lakes of Titan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

False-color, medium-resolution Cassini synthetic aperture radar mosaic of Titan's north polar region, showing hydrocarbon seas, lakes and tributary networks. Blue coloring indicates low radar reflectivity areas, caused by bodies of liquid ethane, methane and dissolved nitrogen.[1] Kraken Mare, the largest sea on Titan, is at lower left. Ligeia Mare is the large body below the pole, and Punga Mare at half its size is just left of the pole. White areas have not been imaged.

Lakes of ethane and methane on Titan, Saturn's largest moon,

have been detected by the Cassini–Huygens space probe, and had been suspected long before.[2] The large ones are known as maria (seas) and the small ones as lacūs (lakes).[3]
History and Discovery
Titan lakes (September 11, 2017)
Size comparison of Ligeia Mare with Lake Superior.
Radargram acquired by the Cassini RADAR altimeter showing the surface and seafloor of Ligeia Mare along the transect highlined by the red line. In each column is shown the received power as function of time.
Vid Flumina,[4] a 400-kilometer-long (250 mi) river emptying into Ligeia Mare (in lower right corner of top image).

The possibility that there were seas on Titan was first suggested based on data from the Voyager 1 and 2 space probes, launched in August and September 1977. The data showed Titan to have a thick atmosphere of approximately the correct temperature and composition to support them. Direct evidence was not obtained until 1995 when data from the Hubble Space Telescope and other observations had already suggested the existence of liquid methane on Titan, either in disconnected pockets or on the scale of satellite-wide oceans, similar to water on Earth.[5]

Okay Bobby...

The Exposé is a British conspiracist and fake news website
created in 2020 by Jonathan Allen-Walker, a welder [sic] from
Lincolnshire.  As of March this year, the site had approximately
5,600 followers.  (LOL)

The site was debunked by anti-disinformation site Logically
as "twisting the facts to suit conspiracy theories" and
"often distort or misinterpret the information within
the snapshots of the documents they use to push a
number of conspiratorial narratives
".

In June 2021, The Exposé falsely claimed that Public Health
England (PHE) data proved that more vaccinated people (94%)
were dying due to COVID than unvaccinated people.  This
claim was then cited laughably in a Sky News Australia
broadcast by host Alan Jones, and dopey politician Craig Kelly.

While yes that website has posted some false information in the past
I believe this article is correct.
Notice I added info about the moon of Titan which confirms the story?

"Most of the fossil fuel material we use today comes from algae, bacteria, and plants—some of which date back even before the Devonian Period, 419.2 million to 358.9 million years ago. Consequently, at least most of the time, you are not pouring refined dinosaur parts into the gas tank of your vehicle."

But perhaps AusGeoff has another site he could cite?

Yes and especially now we have evidence of huge lakes and rivers of
liquid methane on Titan.
Planets can make their own oil - they don't require fossils.

Titan and all the Planets, Dwarf Planets and Planetesimals are all expendable to be drained of their resources for the expansionism of humanity (which has drained its own planet).

...any life out there will also be classed as expendable to the servitude of Humanity.

This will be a fact.

Go to Titan.

Well they're pushing an Asteroid full of Gold.
It's the old "There's gold in them hills" expansion propaganda, which has been a catch-cry of many 'invasions' for 'the Gold'.

Personally, I think NASA and the other Space Inc.'s are pumping out so many 'carrots on sticks' to try and rack in as much money as they can get.
Take the 'Colonisation of Mars' bulls'hit propaganda.
Of which Australia donated $350 million to the cause.
Mars, like Venus - are DEAD STERILE WORLDS.
No human habitation could 'freely' exist there.
They are 'dead' because they lack so many things that gives Life on Earth the ability to exist... like a sizable Satellite to stimulate the heartbeat of the planet, like the Moon does for Earth. No Moon, no magnetic field, no atmosphere and so on.
The costs involved in surviving on, say Mars, would be 'out of this world'!!! Existence there would be worse than living in a Prison confinement.

This is why I have always said that if there is 'life' in our System - it's on Pluto. Why? Well Pluto has a sizable Moon - well, it's really a binary-system (the only one in our System), that gives enough geo-tectonic stimulation and variation to produced 'change' and thus life.
Every other place discovered so far is sterile, dead and lacks any real variables of change.
I'll put money on places like Europa, Enceladus, Titan, Triton - as the only other four with slight possibilities.
But these are only an illusion because all the other moons in our System are just big dead rocks and dust.
The other 'carrot on the stick' (gold in them there hills!) is the push about 'Water' under the surfaces of these satellite moons. There might be, but they too will be 'sterile' and lifeless, regardless if there are geo-thermal vents deep below.

...also - they're pushing these things for funding when they are quite clearly so far beyond our capabilities to achieve any constructive results. JWST is great - but what the hell is pixels of light and dots of things soooooo far away and nothing but a reflection of a time soooooo long ago... of any real constructive use to us?@! Huh

Oh look. We found a Black Hole 500 million light years away (500 million years ago)!!!  Roll Eyes

yes - heard about that -
it's actually the interior - the center - of a minor planet exposed after it had a huge collision.

It would be full of heavy metals: Gold , Palladium, Platinum, Uranium  plus cheap iron etc.
It would be a solid metal asteroid.

But could we ever mine it successfully?
Not with present technology -
maybe 500 years from now.
