No, he got it from Wiki and inserted the word 'European' himself, to bolster his slanted point.

The 3 million includes Jews from Asia, Africa, the Muslim Middle East (close to a million), the Americas as well as Europeans which itself includes the Soviet Union's various cconstitutive republics.
