The UN always knew it was going to happen considering for decades Palestine has always given a 'hostile' response and rejection to 'anything' put forth from the UN and Israel towards 'peaceful' solutions and even concessions from Israel.

They could have done something then, they've had decades.
Guess the UN is just as much to blame for their own failures.

Palestine has only one agenda and it has always been that - until 'death': to destroy Israel and kill Jews.

I'll be generous and just say....you are factually wrong.

The UN adopted UN resolution 242 after the 1967 war, but Israel and its US lobby used the trick of omitting the article 'the' from the English translation of the resolution: "....withdraw from (the) occupied territories....." and there was no agreement on what were "the occupied territories" cf with "occupied territories".

See above; indeed the entire conflict from 1947 on is due to incompetence of the UN, after the UNSC veto was demanded by, and granted to the US and USSR the year earlier, against the wishes of many delegates from small countries present at the San Francisco UN founding conference (in 1946).
