The actual group which organised these pro-Hamas rallies are the "Socialist Alternative" and other fringe university centred Marxist groups.

These groups attend rallies EVERY weekend in Sydney and Melbourne (I can't speak of other capitals as I have no knowledge). This Gaza issue is yet another thing for them to recruit new young members.

Funny thing is, of they went into Gaza protesting for all the other things they're in favour of, they would be beaten, hanged, dragged alive behind a vehicle etc. I don't think Hamas is in favour of their woke issues.
