"Man Charged After Road-Rage Incident in Forster

A man is due in court and two men have been seriously injured after allegedly being run over near Forster.

Police have been told two men and a teenage boy were driving north in a sedan along the Lakes Way at Darawank, 10 km from Forster, about 5pm (Sunday 16 November 2025), when they've become involved with an argument with the driver of a ute, also travelling north.

Police will allege that when the ute driver deliberately rammed the sedan, the two men in the sedan got out and were then run over by the ute.

As the boy ran to help, police will allege the ute driver punched him in the face before driving from the scene.

A 56-year-old man has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital suffering pelvic fractures and head injuries, while a 39-year-old man is being treated in Port Macquarie Base Hospital for spinal and facial injuries; both are reported to be in a serious but stable condition.

The 15-year-old boy is being treated in Port Macquarie Base Hospital for facial injuries.

Officers from Manning/Great Lakes Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Following inquiries, they arrested a 50-year-old man and took him to Forster Police Station where he's now been charged with two counts of cause grievous bodily harm with intent, and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The man, Diamond Beach, has been refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 1 later today (Monday 17 November 2025)."
