Asked whether he had any official documentation confirming his Aboriginality, Mr Vallone claimed he had “never needed to”.

“My heritage is only important to me and my family and no one else. I have not ever received money or grants or anything. I don’t need special measures for a job. I went to uni,” he said.

Mr Vallone said Certificates of Aboriginality – which officially require recipients to be of Aboriginal descent, identify with and be recognised by an Indigenous community – were given out by local Indigenous organisations and “are the most scammed thing on this planet”.

“You could get three mates together and create an organisation and sign your own."

The whole thing is ridiculous.... time has come and gone - either they are Australians or they get nothing.  All this separatism nonsense is just that- nonsense - and they need no hunting lodges - they eat out of Macca's and Colesworths and such and drive cars instead of walking about, so stick the land claims up yer rars.

Should be paying a premium to use the White Man's facilities.

It's easier to read here as it doesn't have a paywall.

BTW - States cannot form treaties - that is the province of the Federal Government only ... so this is a silly, empty-headed agreement between three parties - the Abo Industry, the State 'government', and the people of the state - the majority being the last who do not agree to the agreement so the New Fascists imposed it on them without their leave.

Not a treaty but it identifies as a treaty...

Time to break up the states into more congenial regional states that reflect the true will of those who actually live there - and primarily to isolate the Capital Cities so they can wallow in their own fantasy social science ideological filth without forcing it on those who have to live with it.

These look OK for Prictoria ..

Bit unwieldy (government did it):-

HERE! The Nine State solution!!  Break the power of the capital cities with their dorks and dworkins steeped in the progressive ways of the modern 'academically' trained idiot and handed power through government bodies to enforce anything on The People...

Well that's three states done now - Victoria, NSW and Queenslund ... about thirty new states by now - and no capital cities dictating to the bush as has become so tedious - given that they hand over Outback towns and such to screeching Aboriginal groups that never visited them...

Anything that breaks the power of the over-centralised and frankly lost and drug-confused capital cities is a good thing - just breathing the air should have a bad effect on your mind - every state to have two senators as is the US style... that should break the power of the seat-heavy cities.. who wants a bunch of troglodytes surviving in Boganville telling them how to run their local lives out here in the wild open spaces?  That's what our current situation permits... because the cities hold the majority of seats - an unemployed drug dealing loser in Housotown has a vote worth more than Joe Farmer's vote out on his own land....  Gerrymander ...

Housoboy elects a 'progressive' who pushes for Abo 'rights' Uber Alles, and then that dork/dworkin votes to impose on Joe out there - can't put a causeway over your land's creek crossing so it's easy to get out in a bushfire etc .......  can't put in a fence in case you disturb the snake spirit or something... what?  You already did?  Court for you, my son - where everyone but you gets paid to go there..... by you ...

If you ask me Simon Vallone has more chance of being described as an Aboriginal than his former partner Ashleigh Vandenberg has ... she's white as they come.

The country is full of faux aboriginals now.

And as that article from Roger Karge implies the number of fake Aboriginals has increased dramatically since the Eatock vs Bolt case in 2011.

Apparently La Thorpe had one great grandparent an Aboriginal of some sort.. so that makes her about 12.5% at most and thriving on the White Man's Ways.

A Melbourne mum of four has had her bail revoked after blatantly lying about being Aboriginal.

In a bizarre judgment in the Victorian Supreme Court this week, Haley Terei, who is accused of stealing seven firearms, ammunition, $470,000 in cash, gold nuggets and other valuables from a home in Hastings, was outed for lying about her Indigenous heritage.

She claimed she inherited her Aboriginality from her Yorta Yorta mother, who died when she was three years old, and leveraged this background to get bail.

However, once enquiries were made, the court found Terei’s mother is from New Zealand, and is very much still alive.

Grin So a Maori claiming to be Aboriginal to gain an advantage?

I suppose it makes no difference to all the Sri Lankans(Ceylonese) & Indian & Indonesian immigrants that have been doing it & getting away with it for 60 odd years?

Anyways ask any of the Aboriginal activists & your Mothballs types & they'll say to you Aboriginals don't get anything more than any other Australians - yeah right  Roll Eyes

Lidiot Thorpe is culturally about as Aboriginal as me.

The closest she ever got was houso and co-operating with bad types.

She's a fantastic liar and just exploiting this 'my people' to get things for herself... she doesn't care about the Abos who go down as a result of her stirring the pot, who act up and hit the prison gates....

I think I see through her...

That's the Greens for you and she even abandoned them after getting elected.

You've got to give it to her - she's got balls... more balls than the Victorian public have sense.  Her antics are like Hitler leaping on a table in a beer hall, firing a pistol in the air, and screeching - "The revolution has begun!".

Same thing... she's read the book.
