A tad windy here atm but very sunny and a beautiful BLUE SKY. Good for drying all the towels and sheets I’ve washed early this morning 👌

Yup sun sun is out, blue sky in every direction and a fresh westerly. Today is a perfect washing day. I think I'll wash the doggy bed.

Correction - Sept 1 is an artificial day for Spring -
the true astronomical spring starts on 23 Sept.

Australia Equinox and Solstice Dates

An equinox is one of two days in the year when the sun crosses the equator and day and night become equal in length. The vernal equinox marks the beginning of astronomical spring,

There is the sound of chainsaws around here—the western block is being cleared of shrubs and trees around the periphery.

Means a decent fence can be erected around the big backyard and Socks can spend more time outside.

The long grass and weeds to be slashed and earthmoving done to ensure a nice even slope to the NE while the vege and currant patch will be made flat, no slope. Then raised beds can go in, whole patch surrounded by shadecloth (with some anti rabbit netting along the bottom. An auger will drill holes where the trees are to go and I will square the holes before the trees go in.

Yup, first spring here in Tassie will be a busy affair!

My wife works office hours Mon to Thurs and works from home on Friday, so she gets the kids sorted on Friday and I sleep in,  but because it was raining, 1stborn needed a lift to school. That's 4 x I've driven her to school this week!

Not stay at home but my business gives me enough flexibility to run the house 4 days a week

Mild today here for pinch and a punch/1st day of month.
We had rain last few days though.
Still cool and a bit chill at night.

I see. So you AND your wife SHARE the home front responsibilities. Interesting.

There’s NO WAY I’d EVER let my husband run the house. Not even on a part time basis. His skills set wrt domestic management is below average IMO. Plus he can’t seem to manage the family budget like I can (and he’s a fully qualified accountant too lol).

I always find it quite interesting when I hear about other men taking on traditional female roles. Don’t get me wrong ... it’s not that I don’t approve of it. I just can’t get over the fact that men CAN competently take on such roles.
