ABC lauds itself on being non biased but few know how that's actually measured.

They audit the amount of air time and coverage given to each party roughly as a percentage of their vote. When a Govt minister gets an interview, the shadow minister is invited on to comment.

What is not measurable is the tone they take with journalists, the subtle and often NOT subtle spin they put on an issue and of course what they choose to cover.

Its is supposed to gauge how the public view a subject, and the ABC should not try to sway viewers. That's propaganda. In the quoted ABC email, we see how OUR ABC works. Sky News has nothing to do with it.

Referenda are legally binding on the implementation
of government legislation. You're thinking of
a plebiscite (public viewpoint). The government does
not have to act on the result of a plebiscite, and a

the Electoral Act, or the Referendum Act.

From what I've seen, the ABC cops just as much
flak from the Right and the Left. It seems to depend
more on the presenter and his or her personal

It is not for the ABC to coach its staff on how to 'handle' difficult questions about the Wheeze to Parliament.
