You hate your liver that much?

I just have this challenge to myself to drink a litre of scotch between sundown and sun up, to see how tough I have been. If I can do that, then I am "tough" and I can handle a drinking match against anyone.

The problem is, the more I drink, the more difficult it is for me to accomplish my goal. So, I have to quit alcohol for a long time to prove to my doctor that I am capable of getting my health right. He gave me my blood test results some months ago. The doctor said that my cholesterol is up, and my blood sugar is worse than what it was last year.

Given that I no longer like drinking, I have to quit alcohol, Maybe I will get drunk again on Christmas Day. Or I might be quitting for good. Either way, I have to reorganise my thoughts so that next year I will be well into being full-time employed and start acting my age.

I have 2 confessions.

Last night I went to the cupboard with the intention of eating a teaspoon of peanut butter but I was weak minded and ate two teaspoons.

This morning I was weak minded and spent only 2:30 in my cold plunge instead of 3.

Today I will make up for it by not having any peanut butter, and tomorrow I'll spend 3:30 in the cold plunge.

Ok how will you prove that you did any of this ?

You have my solomon word.

This morning at 530 in the AM I was fumbling around in the dark getting changed for a run.
When I got outside I realised I was wearing double Adidas, shoes AND shorts but was too lazy to go back in the house and change my shoes for Asics.

For this I am truly sorry and I'll try more harded in the future.

At least I was wearing my Under Armour running jacket. If I was wearing triple Adidas, I doubt I'd be here to tell this story.

Gordon is a fitness fanatic and always has stated this throughout… my own adult kids are too…my son lives near the beach and goes for cold winter early morning swims.
My daughter is a gym fanatic and I’ve seen her do push ups from a hand stand position.
It takes years and constant fitness daily schedule to acquire this.
I go to gym once a week and I find that helps my agility at my age.
I do weights and stretch exercises at home between the weekly gym time.

My confession is I’ve been a sugar holic… anything with sugar but now I’m reducing sugar consumption by not having any in my coffee or using xylitol or stevia if I feel like it.

I do feel better as I have 2 coffees a day and less 2 teaspoons sugar a day, makes it 14 teaspoons sugar less per week!!!

I’m surprised I’ve lived this long without becoming diabetic!

I sometimes make a small pot of gunpowder or oolong tea. Use a small cup.

Sip tea with no milk or sugar, nice enough and pretty much calorie free.

**hangs head**

I'm not really The Grappler - I'm a ghost writer...... been that way for years now....... The Grappler is a figment of your image in the nation...  quadrophrenia..... you understand..... stage four in public perception...... merely a mirage based on what you imagine him to be....

When you consider abstruse thinking such as the above - who the hell has ever seen any struse thinking?
