That is also now banned.

Crap, you can carry a knife if you have a legitimate reason. Obviously, you can't say you use it for farming if you're walking through Pitt St Mall in Sydney, but it is not illegal for farmer to carry knives in and around their workplaces. Tradies often go around with knives and no one bothers them

"Any implement containing a knife is covered by the change in law.

"This means pocket knives and multi-tools cannot be carried in public simply for the convenience of having access to them.

"However, if they are being used as part of a lawful activity (e.g. fishing, camping, employment) no offence is committed."

So how do you take your knife from your city home to the camping site without carrying it through public space and thereby committing an offence?

By moving directly from your home to the camping site, and not being apprehended by police who won't be interested in you.

But if I go to a shopping centre and buy a new kitchen knife and walking home I take a detour and have an abmble in the park and, God forbid, I sit on a bench for a while - offence.

I don't know what the regulation is but it seems to this is an example where the 'law' is an ass by trying to regulate something it cannot.

So having a Swiss army knife to cut or peel an apple, open a can or trim one's nails is ok.

2. The preparation or consumption of food or drink
3. Participation in lawful entertainment, recreation or sport

The reality is that the cops will nab shifty efnic striplings in possession of any sharp implements but would even look at a grown-up unless s/he looked like a crim or lumpen prole.

I am going to the shops to get one.  And my nails may need trimming.

This knife law is really trying to deal with efnic youth who bring the culture of violence to Australia, England, etc.

It's the darkies and the swarthies  and the curlies.  It's never rival gangs of Dutch and Flemish kids or Danes and Germans dukeing it out.
Same in London. Knife crime is black crime.

It’s OK to have a pen knife if you are writing with the right pen.

What must Aboriginal people feel?

Fortunately for us all, they tend to be more accepting and understanding than anything you have displayed here.

Civilisation benefited most of them immensely, unimaginably.  I don't see any reciprocal benefit from Aboriginal culture, customs, values for modern Australia. I don't see any benefit from Islam or African culture or Aboriginal culture to any Western country either.
Do you?

Imagine: every aspect of Western civilisation disappeared from your life tomorrow.

Now imagine the total disappearance of every aspect and awareness of Aboriginal culture in your life.
