It's just one more hazard of multiculturalism. One of those knives was used to stab a school student in 2021, the offender was free to go home
"A 14-year-old boy who nearly killed his classmate after stabbing him with a knife has avoided jail after a judge ruled he was allowed to carry the blade for religious reasons."
"He used a Sikh knife, also known as a kirpan, to stab a 16-year-old student twice in the stomach during a fight at Glenwood High School in Sydney's northwest on May 6, 2021."
I carry one of these tiny knives on my keyring
as an EDC. According to Victorian police, it's
regarded as a bladed weapon, and is illegal to
possess and/or carry in public.

When manually extended, the blade is
10mm long.
This is a ceremonial kirpan, as worn by Islamic
schoolboys. Note the
65mm length of the fixed
blade. (Kirpan comes from the Persian and
literally means "bringer of mercy".)

Which is the more likely to cause a stabbing death
or serious injury?
This is another classic example whereby limp-dick
Australian laws are compromised due to the political
powers of the religious far right.
And I'd defy John Smith to find even one single
case of a single serious injury resulting from the
type of little knife I carry with me—particularly
considering it's sold and carried on thousands of
keyrings globally.
