I had 2 AstraZeneca Covid vaccinations 2 years ago and all I had was a sore arm for a few days after the first one.

This was discussed here in another thread a few months back (might have been one of Sir Nail's) but the AstraZeneca vaccine has not been banned in Australia - the remaining stock of AZ had reached their expiry date and newer more effective vaccines (against the latest Covid variants) have since been developed.

No that’s not true Carl.

Back in 2021 (remember we’re in 2023 now) ...many countries had banned the use of AstraZeneca. OUR govt didn’t. It continued until all the doses were used up. (waste not/want not - type of mentality).

Have you any idea how angry I am about that? And I’m not at all vaccinated. I just don’t like seeing people’s trust being breached like this. And politicians do that EVERY bloody day!

Politicians pretend to be anything but what they REALLY are :  professional spruikers who are driven by a nasty Machiavellian mindset.

Ha! That’s true! Many politicians are ex lawyers.

Which reminds me...my eldest son is finishing his law degree soon. He’s completed his Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education double degree program and he did exceedingly well (he studied economics and politics) so when he said he intended to stay on at Uni to study more I though perhaps he might continue until he himself became a Uni lecturer.

Nope! My beautiful little boy is hell bent on becoming a bloody lawyer instead. And there’s nothing I can do or say to make him change his mind either. Any idea how hopeless I feel? I struggle each day trying to figure out where I went wrong with that kid. And yes I pray every night he doesn’t get lured to the dark side ie politics. I wouldn’t be able to cope with the stress. Or shock for that matter 😩

He is currently working part time for a criminal lawyer....a well known Australian barrister in fact. It’s a network thing that supports graduates of certain private schools and certain more upmarket universities 😩

So I think (he won’t say as he knows how I feel about the matter) he’s going to go into criminal law (by that I mean he will be specialising in defending criminals as there’s a lot of work ie opportunity for experience in that area of criminal law). He most definitely wasn’t going anywhere near the grubby and ethically bankrupt area of Family Law. That much he did make clear.

I wish he could go into teaching/lecturing but this is the problem with kids today...they think they know everything about everything BEFORE their frontal lobe (which governs high level logic and reasoning) has fully developed. 😐

Anyway .... let’s get back to politicians - those selfish arseholes supposedly representing the electorate but who really represent their own self interests at all times.

Ok. Let’s take a closer look at these 2 words.

Let me illustrate my point by way of example.

Remember school? Do you remember those idiots who always sat at the back of the class and mucked up every day and who couldn’t give a toss about abiding by the rules? They faced being suspended or getting expelled/banned. And they sometimes were.

Either way ... they were marked and they stood out for all the wrong reasons.

Likewise the AstraZeneca vaccine was marked and yes it also stood out (internationally) for all the wrong reasons.

If you’re the Prime Minister of Australia you are in a position of authority AND trust. There is an expectation that you will not breach that trust. There is an expectation that you will put the interests/needs of the electorate first and foremost and that you will at all times do that which is right FOR ALL PEOPLE who are under your authority.

What I’m asserting is this : Our PM and his colleagues (from both sides of politics mind you) collectively prioritised $$$$ first and in doing so ... they did not prioritise the risk to people’s lives. If they had prioritised people’s lives over money then they would have suspended AstraZeneca back in 2021. Why? Because THAT’S when OTHER countries DID so and THAT’s when OUR doctors here in Australia sent our govt letters requesting Federal govt backed protection against liability for patients under their care who got sick/died because of the AstraZeneca vaccine they were being pushed to continue giving.

Interested in knowing what our Federal govt said to our doctors here in Australia who were worried about using AstraZeneca?  They were told to keep going and not to worry about liability or indemnity insurance blow outs as the Federal Govt would cover them.

Greg ... I know you may not believe me and that’s fine but some doctors were so disgusted that they still refused to give their patients the AstraZeneca vaccine. I guess professional ethics kinda got in the way. And I don’t know if you can recall that it was a difficult and challenging time back then because the Pfizer vaccine was slower to roll out.

😔😩🥺

Ok so now you know why I didn’t vote for the Liberals in the last Federal Election. 😐

Just got back and I'm looking at these 2 words I posted earler:

"Sir Nail('s)"

And it appears I've now woken him up after we've enjoyed several 'Nail Free' days here.

Sorry everyone.  Embarrassed

Now I'm trying to find the 2 magic words to make him go away again - I have 2 specific words in mind right now but the forum word censor probably won't let me post them (well, not the first word at least) and if it did I'd probably cop a ban.
