My husband wears XL. Actually even my eldest son wears XL (that’s because both are well over 6 ft so they need that size to get their arms and legs covered properly).

How tall are you Rocky?

Edit : My eldest son wears size 15 shoes and has done so since he was age 15. Finding shoes that size is an ongoing nightmare! Hubby who is tall but not as tall as my son wears size 12 shoes (thank God). I believe shoe size is linked to height???

Did you know standard male clothes sizes were developed in the US Civil War? Huge numbers of men had to be put into uniform. Machines to sew uppers and soles of shoes were also developed then and for the same reason. Artisan/cottage industry soon died out in the North.

The South without an industrial base couldn’t make uniforms quickly enough and a lot of southern soldiers wore homespun clothes died a butternut color and Southern soldiers were soon largely shoeless—after a battle Southern soldiers would quickly scavenge the Union corpses/wounded on the battlefield looking for shoes/boots that fitted them.

It will be warmer in the water than out in the middle of the day.

It went down to 8 deg here last night. Having a large mass of warmer water very close by means it doesn't get as cold in winter when you live on the beach.
