I think we should be living against having to put up with barbarism. Indigenous culture is largely barbaric. That needs to be eliminated.

"Elimination" is a harsh word to use.  Modified would be better, don't you think?  Not all of Indigenous culture is at fault here, just some of it.

We already frickin' know that the indigenous were the first people on Australia. What should be proposed is that the constitution be amended where we acknowledge that the indigenous lost control of Australia to the European settlers. We own Australia now. We have even been generous enough to invite indigenous people to become part of our nation.

Victors can be gracious in their victory.  Indeed it pays them to do so, otherwise the Indigenous will have grounds for grievance.  Australia's Indigenous are not going to disappear, despite the best efforts of the Racists to eliminate them.  We can either learn to live with them or live against them.  Which do you think is the best way to organise a society?  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I'm sure we can give them the same luxury the Nihonese did for the Jommu come Ainu of the now 'Nihonese' islands.

Recognise them by all means - but there will be no special voice based on race.

If it was not for the violence of indigenous culture, it would be a pretty decent culture. The survivalist aspect of it, I mean. Not at all a fan of the bashing of the womenfolk and the spearing the legs of troublemakers. And recent understanding that indigenous people do not talk about the dead, or people who they think are dead. That is why it is difficult to locate indigenous children that go missing.

Indigenous culture is something that needs to die with the times. We can keep the survivalist element in play, and the artwork. But, most of the indigenous culture needs to die off.

Only tribes people from central Australia have problems talking about dead people.  I think spearing, if done correctly, is most probably not as bad as you make out.  While bashing women folk is harsh without a doubt. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

To be fair, I will go and read up on my textbooks about indigenous culture before I make further comment about this topic.

When have they not?

It has nothing to do with "racists" eliminating" them... as you put it.

And when there are no defining features that say you're Aboriginal other than a say so then I'd say they're doing a fair job of eliminating themselves.
It is their choice also to marry outside their race.

Aboriginals have been recognised as part of the nation since the 60's.... the choice to be actively part of it or not has been their own.

Enshrining an amendment/body into the Constitution based on race is racist.

You had no trouble using the word "eliminate" a few posts back.

You have no idea about the history of "Race" relations in Australia, do you?  When you figure them out, get back to us, OK?  Until then, don't waste our time with your stupidity.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

As European contact was confined to basically post-1788, it would be hard to find much written that was meaningful pre-1788.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
