There are maybe 20 - 25 active members. The rest are just names on a list. This forum is dying

I honestly don’t understand how anyone can get past a 2nd drink. For me...that 1st glass of Shiraz or Merlot over dinner is exquisitely tantalising.

Then that refill turns up and I oh boy ...I just can’t drink it. Why? It doesn’t have the sensational taste of the 1st glass. I am left struggling to enjoy/finish that 2nd glass. My husband usually ends up drinking the 2nd glass of wine for me.

I guess I’ll never understand people who drink a lot of alcohol. I’m beginning to think that they too only enjoy the first drink like I do BUT unlike me they then embark on some bizarre journey of self sabotage/self flagellation. It’s as if they’re punishing themselves for something that’s happened in their past but they have convinced themselves that the alcohol is there to help them with facing the demons of the past. 🥺😔

As I say, I like the taste of scotch. But, I can only drink about 500mL of scotch before my hyperinsulinemia kicks in and I have to go sleep for 4 hours. Because of my schizophrenia, I take to the drink to overcome whatever PTSD issues I have had. Earlier this year, I went 3 weeks without any alcohol. But the stress just kicked in from returning memories of old events from long past. You would think that I would just resolve my subconscious issues with conscious counter measures. I agree. The issue isn't that the forum needs MORE moderators, the forum needs DIFFERENT moderators. Vics Ok but he's hardly ever here. Choo Choo does most of the moderating but he can be a vindictive bitch whose moderation depends on who you are and FD is a troll.

Old users have stopped posting here for various reasons. They have better things to do with their time. They are unable to post here. But, I bet many of them still check in to see what is going on, but do not want to be caught up in the schitt.

Considering Monk and Smith have never been happy with this Forum in any manner, shape or form.
It's a telling sign of their sheer insanity why they keep coming here.
When banned from here - both would slag this Forum and FD off abusively... and yet, once the bans are lifted - they come scurrying back here for the attentions they need, that Monk's PA Forum doesn't provide them with.

With membership declining it is up to members to make critiques of the way this place is run.

Immediate solution:

Hide the Aboriginal anc Coronavirus boards, they have brought out the worst of people and the antivax nonsense has turned off good members. I have not read the Aboriginal board but can imagine the ignorance proudly displayed, the racism and the rampant stupidity.

Appoint some new GMods.

Examine the MRBs, some could probably be done away with or merged, a couple boards have a suitable Mod appointed and Environment desperately needs a new Mod, one that posts using scientific papers etc to discuss environment and maybe arrest the dive of OzPol’s SEO rating.
