Unless there’s co operation/collaboration/commitment on an international basis then EFFECTIVE INTERNATIONAL LAW will exist in name only.

In fact that’s exactly why our globe is getting nowhere right now as I type this. And why areas such as the protection of our global natural environment, our world’s vulnerable children and just every day needs like clean water and clean air and safe food production protocols are still unaddressed. I could go on about human trafficking, child exploitation, interruption of natural eco systems etc but why bother when it all comes down to this confronting reality: abuse and more specifically...humanity’s inability to control abuse.

If one dares to look at human history they will find a dreadful story of abuse which continues to this day. We’ve abused everything possible on our planet including our water, air, atmosphere AND right now even outer space is cluttered with our junk. We’ve abused people and animals ... pretty much anything vulnerable. For whatever reason humanity is adamant in perpetuating its mission of self sabotage.

Given where humanity is right now (and yes I’m not only thinking about the issues I’ve raised above ... I’m also thinking about the Russia vs Ukraine conflict) how can you even contemplate the pipe dream of : effective international law?
