What is wrong with this saucer? (Read 203 times)

Flower on the left the top leaves branch is backward. The leaves go toward the flower not away. Same on all the flowers.

That is not necessarily an error - could just be the way the branch is rising toward the flower.

Nice old cup.not my thing but I do like it.

We had some old cups like that , I have no idea what happened to them. They were great to drink from. Now I drink from anything.

I don’t have my catalog handy. It is translucent and could be bone china if English or hard paste porcelain if European or chinese. I don’t get a definite “orange skin” pattern on the base of the saucer nor the typical hard paste look. Most likely to be English.

Two things are different about it compared to modern saucers.

It also looks thick for that period - but I wouldn't know I am use to seeing tea cups (english style). Not 100% sold that this is one.
