I blame Fauci -
Trump believed his presidential medical advisor.
Then you're "blaming" the wrong person.
Before Trump had conferred with Fauci, and even
before Fauci had made any
specific recommendations
about curbing the pandemic, he was mouthing off
from a base of embarrassing ignorance, a total lack
of any sort of medical training, and overwhelming
self-aggrandisement.
His three initial claims? The virus would simply
disappear as if "by magic". Or taking laundry bleach
such as 'Clorox', or with a UV light up one's rectum!
Yes folks... these were the words of the world's most
powerful [
sic] man! America's hero—Captain Bonespurs!
Dependent on the data source, it's claimed that Trump's
personal delays in acknowledging the seriousness of
the pandemic, and the necessity of implementing resources
to combat it, may have resulted in an additional
110,000 to
200,000 unnecessary COVID deaths in the US.
By contrast, speaking about Joe Biden in September 2021,
Anthony Fauci said:
Quote:Biden set the standard, and he made it clear that he
wanted everyone in this administration, including
the medical teams, to make sure that science drives
the guidelines. That science drives the decisions.
That science drives the policy. Unequivocally.
Even rabid right-winger Aquascoot described Trump as
"
chaotic and crazy". I can only agree!
