I guess that busts the myth that people like you spread with Hijab being a choice for women and girls.

Leftists and the Ayatollahs have a lot in common when it comes to criticism of Islam, they don't tolerate it.

Generally it is, Baron.  Here we have an example where it isn't, which is why I am criticising it.

But, is not forcing women to wear the hijab just part of Iranian culture, Brian?

I didn't see any criticism, must have missed it. Are you allowed to criticise Islamic culture?

Interesting point, there, Unsub.  It is a part of traditional Iranian culture but the world has moved on from those days, now hasn't it?  Iranian Sh'ite culture is rather hidebound, it lacks any modernity.  Doesn't make it right though, Islam as a whole has moved on from those days.  I suggest you watch "The Swap" on SBS on demand and see what modern Islam is like.

There was an implied criticism inherit in the anger icon at the end of the statement, Setanta.  Must have been too subtle for you to understand.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

With women wearing a 'tent' when going to the toilet.
Hidden Toilet Cameras in Iran, don't get the action they do like in America.

What gives you the right to put a frowny face in response to an article about Iran?
