What is this horse made of? (Read 289 times)

Jovial Monk Moderator Offline Dogs not cats! Posts: 51474 Gender:	What is this horse made of? Mar 14^th, 2023 at 12:55pm Small figurine of a galloping horse. The material it is made from is translucent <== a clue! It is Chinese in origin <== A MAJOR clue! It is small, maybe 10cm by 6cm? Excuse the inexpert cropping of a distracting background please.

My Chinese neighbor back in SA accepted the horse as jade. She has sharp eyes—told me which of the Chinese teapots I had bought (I bought a real kitsch one as a giggle) and showed me the one had actually been used. She also saw a petal had broken on one of the “roses” on my porcelain peacock.

One other item—but I will pose this as a challenge later on so mum is the word now.
