A near perfect album. In my top five faves of all time.

I've seen the Stones, McCartney, Metallica, Springsteen, REM, Kiss, Kinks, Elton John, Foo Fighters, Van Halen, etc. etc. etc. live in concert, but the greatest live rock performance I've ever seen was Roger Waters. Three times.

Now, having said that, Roger is a bit of a douche as well as a megalomaniac.

I think their last effort was an ambient The Endless River, which really told me that they were feeling pretty old.
It's said that it was done as their 'final' album.
But since then, I've heard in rare moments that they have completed an album or working on an album to be released after they have all passed on. Sounds typical of anything Floyd in that respect, especially when Bowie did an album that was released a few days after he croaked - though many critics say it sounded like emphysema and cancerous in its dark tone.

Maybe their 'afterlife' album will sound like...
