Meantime Larry can’t explain where he got the $150 figure from.
JohnSmith is obviously not the Frodo figment of Larry’s imagination but is a skilled painter and decorator who gave me great advice re painting and decorating this house. His advice tallied pretty neatly with that of my younger sis, who owns a hardware store and so is experienced at helping people with color schemes etc.
Sis kept talking about “warm whites” and I was afraid that was all about such wishy washy choices as “Bone” or “Cream” or “Ivory” etc. Nope, Sis sent me the brochure/color chart of Haymes “Warm Whites” selection and I fell in love with one color—a very light yellow. So I get my yellow yet it will be a color that will not appear dated like my brighter yellows would.
I do need to decide on a color for door frames, skirting boards—will visit the Haymes shop in the local (120Km away, local

) big smoke and discuss that.
Kitchen and lounge have huge windows—need to choose a color for the vertical blinds that is my preferred window covering. Light and flexible, allows light in but not the glare. Will discuss that at the Haymes shop and maybe John and sis can have valuable advice on this. Whatever info they care to share I will consider very favorably.
