Wow. Dr K Strong uses the doctored image of the poor poley bear marooned on an ice floe. They then used a similar doctored image for the poor penguins.

In fact temperatures began to rise pre-industrial; as we came out of the LIA. So more than 100 odd years. His graph actually shows the warming from around 1700. That's 300 years.

So having said the sun has no short term effect he is now saying it does have a short term effect (on geologic scales). A solar minimum change is only about 1W/m2. And the coldest temperatures were about 50 years before the Maunder Minimum so that wasn't the treason for the LIA.

He then goes on to say Water vapour is the most important ; but it doesn't stay long in the atmosphere. That is true. The clouds are the answer. During the last 20 years there have been fewer clouds. (Dubal and Varnholdt)

CO2 gets reradiated. True. Now all you have to do is imagine one part in 400 trying to get to another one part in 400 to really get a lag. Roll Eyes

He then goes to the global map. And guess what... In areas that don't have readings he gets "about average". Oh dear.

"Plenty of CO2 to cause the 'observed' warming". And nowhere does he say how much warming is caused by the increased CO2. Roll Eyes

There was one that caused a mini-ice age for a few years after its eruption that knocked 2C off the average which resulted in many famines of crops failing. It might be another Cold Year.
