A 10 minute walk from the Alice puts one in good hunting country, it’s not a big place.

Meanwhile farmers in SA and Vic have reached the stage of shooting their livestock and their livelihoods.. so much for "good hunting country" in a drought.

Naturally they are calling out for Albo to save their livelihoods, which he could do - there is plenty of feed in other parts of Oz -  but Albo thinks he has to balance the federal government's budget, like you and I have to balance our own household budget, and therefore he baulks at paying the costs of trucking the feed from Qld etc. , an operation well within Oz governement  capacity since the fodder, trucks, drivers and fuel are all available, able to be purchased  and funded by the currency-issuing Oz government's Treasury without causing inflation (since the necessary resources are available).

Google Steve Keen's article "Triggering Crises by  Reducing Government Debt", to educate yourself.

There is a drought around the Alice?

Already answered in my reply to graps (#463)

Now, back to the topic - how to close the gap among the majority of blacks who live in regional centres?

I have disposed of Frank's and grap's and Boris's crippled analysis, so what are your ideas to close the gap, to end the social unrest in the Alice and elsewhere?

So there isn't drought around Alice Springs, so why don’t they hunt for delicious free food?
I lived for some months with truly tribal Aborigines in my youth, in country that would today be considered drought stricken and we had an abundance of food, took most of daylight time to get it, or rather most of the women’s time.
The blokes knocked off enough roo, snake or lizard
before sunhigh.

Pardon me - I need a minute to stop laughing.... you've offered nothing to the discussion.   There is no 'crippled analysis' - you yourself say 'regional centres' - where there is not much work for anyone.

What is YOUR proposal?

I prefer the Two State Solution myself... easier on and for everyone.

Start treating all Australians equally and let society take its course.

Why close the gaps?

Because everyone wants to close it  - except sufferers of crippled brain syndrome like you, and
the
welfare dependent blacks sitting around in parks in a drunken stupor, the very people who you claim should say "hey, why don't we go get a job?".......

So I rest my case;  the rest of your post is CIGO.

Yes they should. They crippled their own brains.

There's your error right there: generational poverty destroys parental role models - and brains.

Who must start treating all Australians equally?  Who isn't doing it currently?

And what does "treating all Australians equally look like?

Certainly most decent, non-rabid-RW Australians want to close the awful gap stats.

So you need to answer the above questions if we are going to make progress on closing the gap.

Recognition of the correlation between poverty and crime - understood even by Trump when he was seeking election in 2016 - is not delusional, it's reality.

Do try to keep up.

In the Alice - like all mixed-race communities - unemployment is much higher among blacks than whites, hence the awful gap stats.

What is YOUR proposal?

A government progran to ensure employment for every working age person. in conjunction with policies needed to overcome the poverty-crime nexus.

Confirming the inadequacy of your ideologically crippled brain.

Hint: envisage a better Australia, if you can.

And how exactly do you plan to have that operate?  A motherhood statement is not sufficient.... give us your PLAN.

You're a kid, aren't you?

You won't get jobs handed to Aborigines 'out there' in Lingalongaland, where there are few jobs for everyone.... which is why the population is so low.

Accept the broad sweep of the thinking Grappler's GAIA plans for developing Australian infrastructure and how to fund that etc...leading into an industrial powerhouse... and employment for those interested enough .....

You want to bet the hold-outs will demand royalties so they can live without working?

THAT is their biggest problem... they want it all and they want it for free off the backs of everyone else - and like the rest of the world with all its leeches - people are getting sick of hearing about them and their self-induced problems.

Your error: self defence only makes sense one on one;  war is madness.

And consideration of WHY you are attacked in your home or on the street by an indivudual criminal (or gang)  must be considered by the  community, so government can reduce the incidence of such crimes.
