I reckon the armorer should be the one held to account.

The armourer has one job. To make sure guns are safe.  Absolutely they are responsible

She wasn't allowed on set with covid rules.
Alec should have allowed her to be on set.

George Clooney and others have criticised Alec for not following safety rules.

Millions of rounds have been fired in movies then comes Alec who doesn't follow safety rules and this happens. Alec needs to follow safety rules.

Take a look at the training Halle Berry and Keannu Reeves had for John Wick. Halle at the end is great i wonder where she parked it Wink

Alec was just a nasty alcoholic and bully to be in control when he could. It was his fault.

I will reiterate my opinion that Baldwin did not seem all that remorseful when he 'learned' from police interrogators that Hutchins had passed away.

Speeks volumes of this losers character.

Baldwin faced Liar

Hates guns but makes money pretending to use them - a pretender like his "Spanish" fake wife Hillary.

Anti-gun and knows nothing but pretending to use a gun he killed someone

He is off to prison

Karma

Agree.
Independent firearms experts also agree.

The bloke messed up big time and he knows it.

Triggers can be pulled with very little pressure if set up that way, in this case the act of raising the gun could be sufficient to fire the gun unintentionally.

There seems to be a number of people with varying levels of responsibility.

However it is not possible to understand the proper assignment of where who lies without a full understanding of where the shell came from and who is responsible for that part.

It is likely a different person where the act if accidental could very from accidental to negligent but it could go further if the bullet was introduced with malicious intent. This would significantly change assignment of responsibility for everyone in the list.

Irrelevant to the fact that there was a live round in the gun & it was chambered when it went off.

Baldwin lifted & pointed the gun at the woman to a sufficient height that the bullet hit her in a vital place killing her.

At close range even blanks are dangerous because of flying brass fragments & wadding.

He should not have pointed the gun at her.

In movies the appearance that people are pointing guns at others is achieved by camera angle.

Baldwin is 100% in the wrong & so is the armorer for her failing to see the live round on the set.

I understand this.
Hasn't the weapon been sent for independent testing?
I heard three independent testing facilities.
I haven't heard any mention of a trigger modification or "hair trigger".
I wouldn't imagine a movie set is looking for accuracy, rather a heavy trigger would be more of a safety feature when the weapon is hot.

Baldwin is lying imo.

Yeah - can't see any reason for a hair trigger... they do the shooting sequence and move the bodies to the right spot for the hit later... no bullet.

There is no reason for it to be set up in any way for shooting - its a prop, it is how it is. Has anyone seen what Baldwins gun experience / background is like?

There is a strong likelihood that Baldwin went into shock to the extent that he is not a reliable witness, His recollection may not agree with the facts purely on medical grounds.

Oh FFS ... not the mental health card again.

Always bought up as an excuse by leftoids when someone makes an error with fatal results for someone else.

Poor Alec ey?

No one can be held responsible for anything. Roll Eyes
