Well... this is yet ANOTHER thread hijacked by people posting
TOTALLY off-topic drivel, consisting entirely of childish, puerile
personal attacks on each other.

People... please give it up, and get this thread back on track.

I suspect he will get off.

It looks like he is charged as an actor and as a producer. If a Jury is involved they are going for multiple choice like saying we don't know you work it out for us. Likely to not go down well.

Also they are underplaying how the bullet got on the set, how it got in the gun and where it came from more of less saying it isn't relevant. I feel it is unlikely a judge or Jury will agree with that position.

What if the defence were to raise the proposition that the bullet may have been introduced by some unknown person with malicious intent ?

The fact remains that the prosecution do not know where the bullet came from or how it got into the gun or what the intent was.

The argument could be made that the high profile person was the only person the prosecution had looked at from the start and there was no real attempt to look past their pre set view and to actually properly investigate the incident.

I don't necessarily agree with this but it looks like the prosecution may have left their case somewhat open to doubt on a number of fronts.

Nope. The ultimate responsibility remains with the person who points the gun at another human. That's Baldwin

An actor does not get a free pass'
Other actors – including "A-list" celebrities – consulted by prosecutors said they "always check their guns or have someone check it in front of them," Carmack-Altwies told CNN shortly after announcing her intention to file involuntary manslaughter charges.

"Every person that handles a gun has a duty to make sure that if they're going to handle that gun, point it at someone and pull the trigger, that it is not going to fire a projectile and kill someone," she said.

She added, "An actor does not get a free pass just because they are an actor".

"That is what is so important. We are saying here in New Mexico, that everyone is equal under the law."

There is nothing to say that an actor knows anything about guns. It is possible that he does not even know how to check a gun or how to know it is loaded or anything else. I don't see it as being as simple as that. The reality is that there is a person onthe payroll employed specifically to make sure the gun is safe. While I agree that there is a level of responsibility it isn't as black and white as you suggest.

Yes but was that their position or the result they wanted before investigating?

Well if this isn't the most childish thing i've seen on this forum, it's a contender for the title.

Baldwin is a raving Leftie and is very anti-gun but he glorifies guns with his movies - the hypocrite - and had he been pro-gun he would have lessons and experience - like every experienced shooter has.

But according to him - the rules don't apply.

He is going to the slammer and good job
