Katie Hobbs sworn in as Arizona governor

"Hobbs was sworn in during a private ceremony at the state Capitol as she formally took over from Republican Doug Ducey. A public inauguration for the governor and others taking statewide offices is scheduled for Jan. 5."

But Loser Lake said she was gonna be governor.

What happened, sweetheart?

Today is a good day   Smiley

Democrat Katie Hobbs sworn in as Arizona governor

PHOENIX (AP) — Katie Hobbs took the oath of office Monday to become Arizona’s 24th governor and the first Democrat to hold the office since 2009.

Hobbs is the outgoing secretary of state and was previously a state legislator who rose to be the top Democrat in the Senate. As governor, she’ll have to work with a House and Senate narrowly controlled by Republicans. The new Legislature convenes for the first time next week.

Hobbs assumes control of a state with a strong economy and a solid financial position, with a large budget surplus forecast for the next fiscal year.

Also formally taking office Monday are Democrats Adrian Fontes as secretary of state and Kris Mayes as attorney general, both of whom defeated Trump-backed Republicans who refused to concede and unsuccessfully challenged their losses in court.

The Nazi in Heels is still having a tantrum   Grin

Kari Lake files appeals in election lawsuit after Hobbs was sworn in as Arizona Governor

PHOENIX - Former Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has filed two appeals related to her election lawsuit.

One of the appeals is filed with the Appeals Court for her lawsuit claiming fraud, and that technical problems on Election Day were intentional. In December 2022, a judge ruled against Lake, saying there was no evidence of widespread misconduct.

Lake also filed a motion to transfer the appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court, asking to essentially skip a step with the Appeals Court.

It is unclear if the Arizona Supreme Court will take up the appeal.

Meanwhile, election law attorney Tom Ryan says he believes Arizona's high court will toss the lawsuit.

"Election contests are supposed to be done and completed within 10 days of the canvass," said Ryan. "They were given all the opportunity to have a trial. Judge [Peter] Thompson allowed in a lot of evidence most judges would not allow in, but he wanted to do it so he could show he gave due consideration and weighed the evidence."

She's just an attention whore.

You lost, little pixie.  Buh bye   Smiley

Greggery, this should never have been allowed to happen in a democratic country.

Mr Trump said.

When you are the one in charge of the vote counting you get the results you want! No conflict of interest there.

Why did Hobbs refuse to debate Lake during the campaign?

Arizona Election Loser Kari Lake Unduly Crowns Herself With A New Title

'Nazi in Heels'

Oh, no - hang on.

Arizona Republican Kari Lake played a game of make believe when she crowned herself “the duly elected governor” during a call-in to right-wing streaming channel Real America’s Voice this week.

Lake, who lost the 2022 gubernatorial election to Democrat Katie Hobbs (D) and subsequently lost an election lawsuit, claimed that the election was rigged “in broad daylight” before she gave herself the phony title.

Her opponent was sworn in as governor on Monday, but that hasn’t stopped Lake from making her latest claim.

Good point, Wombat. If this Hobbs woman had debated our Kari, we might accept the "results" of the erection, yes?

But no, she couldn't be bothered. What does that tell you?

Mort's right. When you are the one in charge of the vote counting you get the results you want!

Doug Ducey has a lot to answer for, no?

Exactly.

Kari Lake is not only quite clearly insane, but she's one of the most disgusting creatures to have ever drawn a breath.

The Nazi in Heels doesn't deserve the time of day, from anyone.

Let's see you open your home to a dozen or so illegal African migrants.

Don't want to do that?

Well then, you must be a Nazi.
