The idiot COULD look for better outlets but just the thought of that terrifies the poof.

He could, had he the guts and the intelligence, find a bulk butcher and buy like 5–10Kg meat at MUCH lower prices perkilogram.

Shut up Monk,
you only need a bulk butcher to feed that mutt called Socks.   Roll Eyes

This place is the best, Australia's largest walk-in retail meat cold room.

When ever I speak to someone who's been there, I ask, did you wear one of their jackets? If they say yes they get mocked then next time I see them, they tell me they went jacketless and felt more worthy.

Check out the vid, the chick is already wearing a puffer jacket and grabs another from the rack. Pfft.

No, you utter moron!

Buy bulk and save $$$ per kilo! But you are too stupid to find one and too gutless to go there and buy and save.

Socks gets ≈ 200g mince in the morning, mostly veg at night.

Pet dogs don’t need 100% protein, just aren’t active enough for that. Even Socks.

Working dogs on farms likely need more protein.

Monk,
You trust butchers?

The last time I went to a butcher -
the steak was nice and red when looking through the window
in the serving area and he wrapped it up for me.
I unwrapped it before I left the shop and the meat was all gray underneath -
not red – and didn't smell very good.
I gave it back to him and got something else for my money.
I think they sprayed preservative on top but not underneath the steak.

In the supermarket it's all vacuum packed in clear plastic with a use by date -
and I can see all sides of it before buying.
I don't trust butchers – you never know how long
that meat has been sitting in the window and
how many flies have landed on it.

I think you are too scared to look outside supermarkets.

Yes, meat discolors where it rests on other meat.

I have bought some supermarket (IGA) because a butcher is just too far away. It is not the best meat.

I have two places I can and do buy bulk meat.

BTW—have you seen the room where the meat is packaged in the supermarkets?

No I haven't.

Have you ever got meat that was all grey on one side and
that particular side did not smell good - perhaps rotten?

Sounds like you're describing what you did last Saturday night down at The Slopes.

Go to a proper butcher and you won’t find that.

Actually the one I got wasn't as marbled so not same grade, but it was plenty good.

The fine food shop I go to does a lot of inhouse aging in a special fridge. Interesting to see.
