Gareth looks even less likely Aboriginal than Nathaniel.

On the Autism Spectrum as well .... could explain a bit about him ... but the other two???

Anti-vax, anti police, conspiracy theorists & raised evangelical Christians .... sort of fits the DD prepper mold alright.

And the 3 of them all worked for QLD Education at one time. Gareth quitting first in 2016.

So I'd say he had it bad even before Covid.

Yep, covid tipped him I reckon.

He was waiting for the army to roll up and try and detain them or inject him with syrup or something.
Just down the road is that well camp. A lot of rumours started about what it was going to be used for.
I reckon it's murder suicide by police.
Common way of suicidal people to think.

well camp???

Yeah, that covid centre that has been built in Toowoomba.

That's just bullshyte
..... every house/property out there would have to have rain water & septic tanks..... there is no town water or sewage.

Most would have some solar .... & satellite dishes if they wanted the internet.

From the real time photos(some are when the house was first moved there) you cannot see any brickwork to cover tunnels under the house.

Not saying they may not have had a bunker somewhere.

I agree.
No services out there.
Media dramatising the story again.
The house had previous occupants so it had to be plumbed into septic and water back then.
As for the power, sure, they may well have installed the panels and a battery but like you say, 8 panels will do farrkk all.

I am going through exactly this right now in a coastal town, up your way actually, just north of Rainbow Beach.

Please don't tell me that place was formerly known as Black Beach 🥺

Yeah I thought that maybe but wanted clarification .....

it's 141klm as the crow flies from their place to Wellcamp Accommodation Centre.

I know in rural terminology that's just down the road but I wouldn't want to walk it.  Grin

👆
This cut me up. Mr Train senior (their widower dad) has spoken out about the death of his 2 sons. His other 2 kids are still alive. The 2 sons he lost were difficult children growing up and were estranged from the family for over 20 years along with their children (ie his grandchildren).

He's now a shocked and heartbroken man who can't believe what's happened. Or even how it all happened. The first he knew of the matter was when police arrived at his door asking for his DNA to formally identify his 2 boys' bodies.

Mr Train senior is an old retired Baptist Minister. I don't think he'll last long after the enormity of such a tragic shock.

The plot thickens....."Ménage à Trois"??

keeping it in the family  .... it seems that Stacey Train mother of 2 had originally married Nathaniel Train in the 1990's ... but was now in a relationship with Gareth Train(still no photo of him).....

Pastor father Ron Train married them.

Quote:
SCHOOLTEACHER and mother-of-two Stacey Train once worked with disadvantaged children but met her end
this week as a cop-killer.
Stacey (left), along with brothers Gareth and Nathaniel Train, was shot dead by police on Monday after they
killed two young officers. Stacey married Nathaniel in the 1990s and the couple had two children but she was
believed to have entered a relationship with Gareth more recently.

I wonder where the 2 children left behind are or were during this maniacal event? Angry

They are in their early 20s, so hopefully nowhere near the joint.
The ice use is only recently, not a long term thing according to locals in the area.

Apparently the house had tunnels, fortified entries, completely off grid which the two brothers worked hard in achieving, caches of ammo and more weapons, stratically placed objects in the yard to act like barriers etc.
Preppers big time.

With only 8 solar panels?

I would have expected a lot more than that.

Must have had a good supply of AA batteries & candles.

South of Chinchilla & around Tara, including the town is a known "blockie" - unemployed feral druggo area.

Geez I live in an rural/farming area where we are on tank water, septic tank, lpg tanks for hws and cooking, and 20 solar panels, wood heating, and a dish on the roof.
Nowhere near wishful for total off grid living! Except during power blackouts… then generator comes to the rescue.

Poona.

Ohhh it was beastly hot in Poona by the sea you know.... Grin

I know a few people who live there & Maroom & Boonooroo.

Not long ago had a bit of strife at Poona over the Native Title claim on Fraser Island.

Some so called Butchullas(I didn't recognise any of them) setting up camp on the foreshore- ripping out plants put there by locals as binders against foreshore erosion & telling locals it was theirs, they had the deed in their hands(which was a lie) & things were going to change around here & we'll put up an 8 foot fence, how ya gonna like that ey? ..... sort of BS...

they even posted it to FB.

Apparently the Hervey Bay branch of the Aboriginal legal service rang them & told them they had to leave ......

they don't have title claim over the Poona foreshore.

But be warned. Wink

The only one he said was difficult was Gareth who was on the Autism spectrum - Aspergers.

His estrangement from Nathaniel was due to his brothers takeover of his marriage ... i.e the Menage a Trois.

The church was the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical churches(look it up) ... it said nothing about Baptists that I've read.

Very droll  Grin

But not without collateral damage.

Derailments - always an old train drivers fear ....

& not being able to stop ...

because

Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train it won't stop going
No way to slow down

These few lines from the lyrics might be applicable to these Trains relationship together.

"He sees his children jumping off
At the stations one by one
His woman and his best friend
In bed and having fun
"

I read Baptist (somewhere).

What you mentioned is Anglican Church linked. I personally know a few people who are now high up in that organisation as I went through Uni with them. All are very decent, humble and law abiding citizens who are also well educated and basically "normal'.

It's just these 2 Train boys who don't make sense. They left home and did their own thing totally estranging themselves from family and friends and ... the entire world really. How these boys EVER held positions of trust as teachers is what has me puzzled too.

Bizarre stuff.

Edit : Here's another thing which doesn't make sense : If their delusional beliefs were aimed at police officers then why did they kill their own neighbour in cold blood who wasn't a police officer?
