Would you have described the person in those photos as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Frank?

Bear in mind, you didn't a page or so back.

He doesn't look Aboriginal to me but then half the Aborigines who claim so don't. But the police describe him as of such appearance, as did the ABC.

By all accounts he was an effective school principal. But he's gone 'missing' 12 months ago while in touch with family - that's odd. The boiling hatred for the police, shared by his brother an his wife, is very strange. The two young cops, barely a year in the service, could not have been personally known to them, so they just fired at the uniforms and then executed them where they lay on the ground. To shoot the brother's neighbour is also very strange.

None of this is because of 'Aboriginal appearance'. It could have been survivalist Norwegians or jihadi Lebs or 5th generation farmers fed up with the insolence of the state or whatever. But my guess is that if they are Aborigines indeed, that will be important for the understanding of their motives. Most likely it will not be peripheral if they do turn out to be Aborigines. Nowadays Aboriginality is not peripheral to anything.

At least they are not trans or gay or feminists or vegans or fat or African or Muslim, so those identity angles are not in play. Phew!

I can't believe that—considering this tragic killing of two police
officers—that this thread has deteriorated to the level of personal

Where are the moderators here? Why do people such as Mothra

A man at the centre of an ambush attack and siege on Queensland's Darling Downs in which six people were killed, including two police, had been missing from his western NSW home for almost a year.

Nathaniel Train died in a shootout with police reinforcements alongside his brother Gareth and wife Stacey at the remote scene, sources have confirmed to AAP.

All three are considered to be offenders actively involved in the ambush.

NSW police last week launched an appeal for public assistance to locate 46-year-old Nathaniel Train, last seen at his residence in Dubbo on December 16, 2021.

While his whereabouts were unknown, it was believed Train, a former schoolteacher, had remained in touch with his family until early October.

Train was described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 183cm tall, with a thin build and a long, grey beard.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt and jeans and was known to always wear brown boots.

Police sources have confirmed Train was one of the gunmen later shot dead by police at Wains Road in Wieambilla on Monday night.

Earlier in the day, he and his brother Gareth allegedly gunned down police constables Matthew Arnold, 26, and Rachel McCrow, 29 who were there apparently in search of Train.

A neighbour, 58, who went to the scene following the disturbance, was also fatally shot.

Local media reports indicate Gareth and Stacey Train owned the property.

According to News Corp Australia, Nathaniel Train had previously worked as a primary school principal at Walgett and had at one time taught in Queensland.

Anyone know if Nathaniel's wife was ALSO Aboriginal?

Ok here's what I was able to find:

2 brothers - Nathaniel and Gareth Train. Both were Aboriginals.

Gareth Train was married to Stacey Jane Train.

All 3 were school teachers.

I'm not sure if Stacey Jane Train was Aboriginal but she was actively involved in the teacher's Union.

All 3 were shot dead by police AFTER these 3 killed those 2 young police officers in their 20's.

Nothing makes sense really. Oh and as we now know that the 2 brothers were in fact Aborigines (remember Aboriginality is not about colour) I'm hoping we could move on. As a matter of fact I'm focused more on the professions involved in this tragedy.

Has anyone else noticed that this incident is about State Govt employed teachers and State Govt employed police officers? Professionals killing professionals.

Gnads has indicated that there might very well be a link with drugs. I concur.

Even so .... I can't help but feel that there's more to this than drugs.

Anyone know where Aussie or Freediver is? I wouldn't mind hearing their take on all this.

A news report claimed the brother had a strong dislike for police.

Lots of criminals say they will shoot it out with police to avoid arrest very few actually do it.

I wonder if the brother had a criminal record.
