Still waiting for my delivery from Amazon via Australia Post.

If you'd had your way, all deliveries would have been delayed due to covid restrictions and lockdowns.

And I would be fine with that.

I don't know what's causing the delay with my chair other than the fact that it seems to be on an Australian "tour" at the moment, haven't seen Covid mentioned so far.

But, what annoys me is that we're now being told that Covid is supposed to be over but it's still being used as excuse for delays with deliveries, etc.

Of course the truth is that Covid isn't over and it is still a reason for delays except this time it's not "restrictions" and lockdowns causing them it's workers being sick with Covid all the time.

Oh, and I really only started this thread for a bit of fun.

I saw it the other day packed in the back of a truck in Brisbane.
It was surrounded by about 200 fans.
By the time you get it it will be a fair dinkum rocking chair... 🤘🤘🤘

Haha very funny! Did you make that up yourself?  Smiley

Yeah.... Bit of fun for Carl.

Anyway… I received the fishing rod yesterday. How exciting! It’s quite compact as it telescopes.
Hope it can do the job… hope to catch some flatheads in the bay soon… with my luck some gummy shark will annoy me!  Angry

You've gotta do some serious training.

Just got back from the Post Office a while ago.

The man there put my tracking number into his computer and guess what? My chair hasn't even left Victoria yet.

His system shows no record of it being at Welshpool not far from me on November 26th. I showed him the printout saying that it had been there and we both shrugged and laughed.

So, after I ordered it from Amazon Australia on November 6th it's only got as far as Sunshine West, Victoria. The floods over east have caused a lot of disruption to road and rail deliveries (and lots of staff off sick with Covid, I'm sure) so that must be the reason for the big delay.

Oh, well... I might have it by Christmas.  Cool

Oh that chair!
I found it near my door via delivery van… very nice chair, comfy too… like the colour, I’m sitting in it thinking how lovely Santa brought a nice gift for me this year  Kiss
Oh and thank you too Carl… so generous of you  Smiley

lol... thanks, Sophia. No problem.

Are you sure it's supposed to be mine?

This is the one I've been waiting for:

https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0B2NNPCMN

One good thing I've noticed - it's now $115.90. I got it for $109.99 when I ordered it on November 6th.  Grin

"Arrives after Christmas" (if you order one today).

Yeah, it'll also be the same with mine by the look of it.

Interesting and/or frustrating delay Carl.

I've never had any issues with Amazon, and usually find
them more reliable than with eBay deliveries.  Sometimes
Amazon send your stuff from their own warehouse, but at
other times its delivered from a third party—which I'm
guessing's caused the stuff-up with your office chair.

Whatever, more than a month late is absurd.  Might be a
safer move to cancel the order and get a refund?

I think I'll just wait for the chair to arrive. If I cancel the order and get a refund and then go to Officeworks for another chair this one will turn up then I'll have to pay for it and have 2 chairs (which I don't need) or send it back again (which I'll probably have to pay for).

My semi comfy fold up chair will have to do in the meantime.

Edit... lol... I just received a text message on my phone from "Couriers Please" saying that something called "Elite" is supposed to be arriving today and to tap a provided link if I want it to be left in a safe place if no one's home.

I have no idea what "Elite" is (it isn't the name of my chair) so I smell a scam here, especially when Australia Post is supposed to be delivering it and they have their own courier service anyway.

I've just deleted the text and if it does turn out to be genuine it doesn't matter because I'll be home for most of the day.

Seems to be a lot of text scams going around at the moment... I had another Google Messenger one yesterday.  Roll Eyes

Now I remember what "Elite" is.

It's a 92 inch projector screen I ordered from a place in Sydney a few weeks back.

Looks like it's coming today (sometime).  Cool
