Yes. Governments have different responsibilities than the likes of you.
And the main one is not to panic.

An "if" scenario - a possibility, eg the spanish flu did happen - which would explode your govt. debt delusions...
Yes, a "possibility". What was the possibility of it being worse than Spanish Flu? Did they ruun anything, apart from the bogus epidemiology studies. You know like the failed EPA PM2.5 study, the Linear No Threshold studies.

I'm happy to admit the transition to fully-backed renewables takes more time, and is more expensive than building new filthy coal plants; but when the transition is completed, electricity from renewables will be much cheaper than coal.
So you agree on cost and timing but disagree on savings. So somehow costs and savings can be somehow netted out?

And that doesn't even take in the cost of replacements. Which will require bigger footings for bigger turbines, which will require greater separation of the turbines. Solar panels MAY be replace
in situ, but whole areas would have to be isolated whilst it was done. More costs to achieve the "cheaper than fossil fuels".

China is increasingly bypassing fossil fuels in favor of renewable energy projects in Africa, particularly in Kenya, South Africa, Ethiopia, and Djibouti. These investments focus on solar, hydro, wind, and geothermal projects rather than coal, aligning with a broader strategy to dominate the continent's green energy sector and infrastructure.
Yes that paper was back in 2021, mine was in 2024. Do you see the difference?
