Stone the flamin' crows!

Why has Frank become so incensed during this debate about the
Aboriginal flag?

His anger has obviously overcome his sense of rationality and reason.

Time for him to have a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down?    Grin

Why would anyone become so obsessed about the 'Aboriginal' flag that they had to have it raised on any public building?  Look at it - a pre-school kid could do it better....

Yeah - but it kept the population down to a controllable level....

No Brain, it's culture, you should buy yourself a 4WD and go and have a look for yourself, i am used to it but it would be a real eye opener for you.

I have traveled extensively in the outback.  I have met many Indigenous Australians.  You deliberately insult them, continually.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Have you been to the Alice in the last 40 or so years, the residents there are being told to stay indoors and not to go into the CBD, that's culture for you and you don't need a 4WD to experiece that one.

I haven't been to the Alice for about 5 years.  Things might have changed but the media often plays up situations in order to sell newspapers/TV News to their advantage.  Just as you do, to promote your Racism.  Indigenous Australians are generally law-abiding people and should be treated as such.  You however, delight in painting them in the most Racist manner.  Tsk, tsk, tsk...   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Jacinta Price would call bullshyte on that.

The Aborigines never had a flag until white man came here.

Is this a case of cultural appropriation?

I'd say it's not.  The Aboriginal flag was designed by an Aboriginal
bloke 52 years ago, and has been flown ever since.

And at least it's representative of the indigenes of the country, unlike
the Commonwealth flag with its outdated British Empire canton.

Grin Perrlease  Roll Eyes - that's not an answer .... & no it hasn't been flown ever since.

Representative of the indigenes?

I'm 4th gen & Indigenous to this country, that flag doesn't represent me.

Further .... do you know how many flags bear the colours of Red, Yellow & Black?

There are 27.

And as for "appropriations" the use of "First Nations" has been appropriated from Nth American Indians & Inuit peoples.

All who were far more culturally advanced.

blatant racism and vitriol directed at our Aboriginal population by the
likes of Boris, Redmond Neck, or Johnnie et al.

What "justifies" this sort of bigotry, prejudice and narrow-mindedness?

Whatever, it's ugly and has no place on a forum that
pretends to be anti-racist.  (See Rules under "Racism")

I vividly remember one occasion when at the Alice Hospital an ambulance came in with a man who had been speared through the leg as "Payback" for something or other.

The spear was sawn off so as to get the gurney into the Ambulance and I wheeled him in and the Surgeons assessed the damage in the ER and he was scheduled for emergency surgery as the leg had to be amputated as it could not be saved as the damage was to great.

So that happened and the next day his wife came in and she stripped naked and ran all around the hospital through the ER (Cas) and the wards naked and screaming.

Then her husband was wheeled in in a wheelchair and she was even worse as she believed it was not her husband but an evil spirit.

Then she climbed into an empty Ambulance and would not come out so I had to get inside with her - in close quarters - and wrestle with a naked deluded woman who believed in evil spirits and that death was at hand.

Her husband - who was a pretty good chap as I remember - just kept speaking softly to her as she was laying on the ground in floods of tears, screaming and wailing and lamenting the death of her beloved husband.

We had doctors and nurses and interpreters and a huge crowd observing the whole catastrophe and that was just one of many such events I was involved in.

It turned out that someone died and the tribe was convinced that this now one-legged man with the deluded wife was responsible as he must have sung a spell to make some black die so he had to be punished.

Spearing through the leg was the popular tribal punishment but often they die from the dreadful wound.

The hard part for me was the wife and her antics.

It was just another day at the office.

Are you familiar with the Crime Statistics of the NT?

It is the most lawless place in Australia. The murder rate is 8 per 100,000 whereas the rest of the country is 0.8 per 100,000 and that is 1000% worse.

Then there is other crime such as assault and theft - and do you know who is doing it?

Well - you can't straddle a Muslim/Blacktivist anti-terrorist bollard with razor wire on the top in Sydney's CBD for very long without losing something.... not that this would mean anything in this day and age of feminised government containing blokes with no balls in lockstep with every ratbag sheila...

At least 50% you say - meaning as much as 100% with no such dictate imposed for the benefit of the other half of society.... and, of course, in the company of 'like minded' once-men (they are the hollow men) who think kissing sheila - and by extension every other dissident troublemaking demanding - arse makes them good boys and so the benefits will flow ...

Poor Fellow - My Country... only a pack of wooses controlled by a mother figure would surrender the castle to the barbarians to rape and kill all within at whim ...

The flag is just one of many examples of the relentless 'blackwashing' of Aborigines and their culture and customs.  If truth telling is called for then the full truth needs to be told and discussed. It's no good to hide the horrific, the primitive, the ugly and should "wacism" when it is brought up.

Aborigines did not live in an Adamite Eden before 1788. Quite the opposite. Manufacturing a new identity for them, complete with nationhood, flag, agriculture, towns, commerce, science and the rest is blatant revisionist bs that must be called out and challenged.
