Soccer is the largest sport in the world.
It's bigger than Ben Hur.

It rates at about sport number 27 in Australia. It is between table tennis and lawn bowls I think.

The top teams are worth over $1 billion each.
Qatar spent $220 billion on the stadiums etc for this world cup.
God knows what soccer turns over in the world.
It's more than the GDP of many countries.
There is nothing even approaching the size and importance of soccer.

Well we'll see if the individual brilliance of Messi who clearly dominates his own side can beat France (obviously) who is a well drilled slick team as a whole. Will they do to Messi, what they did to Jonah Lomu and the All Blacks?

I'll go with France to win. Well I have to really after what I've said about 'individuals' in Team Sports only really getting 2nd Prize.

If Morocco somehow beat France - they won't have what it takes to phase out Messi who is seeking God Status in Samerica this World Cup. Unless the Moroccans somehow throw caution to the wind and just attack Team Messi relentlessly and outscore the Argies. But I doubt this scenario. Team Messi are hoping the Moroccans win, rather than the more potent French.

I was honestly hoping for a Falklands War between the Argies and English. Cheesy

Once again, shame Australia and the USA didn't play against one another - again. Roll Eyes

I think a few political and cultural ties would have been severed there.

Good Guys: Asia, Europe, Africa, Oceania

Bad Guys: Namerica, Samerica, Sahul (Oz), Middle-East

Should be interesting how it pans out.
