Some adds were popping up saying Australia were paying $5 to score. I thought it sounded a good bet. Was going to go for $50 or $100 but didn't care enough to do it.

I may try to get around to watching a game.

I should be more interested as one of my wife's uncles played for Australia and was selected for a world cup. About half the Australian team at that time came to my engagement party.

Seems all the fans at the World Cup are getting peeved at how the American fans there are calling it 'Soccer'.
Australia first coined the word as far as I know (do correct me if I am wrong) and the Americans have also embraced it.
I think there are some other nations that also call it Soccer.

There are many forms of 'Football' codes in the world, but the prima donna 'Soccer' establishment, likes to think its the only 'Football' in existence.
Gridiron is Football too, but it's also titled 'Gridiron'.
