They did the opposite of choke. Yes that second goal was a stuff up but that's sometimes happens when you play at this level. You take chances and they can pay off or backfire. The first goal was just mesi showing why he's the best in the world. Give him an opportunity and he'll take it. Australia played well and can hold their heads up.

Argentina are clinical when they get a chance they score. this is about the same result as the previous game if the opposition took their chances.

This game was always a huge ask.

Argentina have won 2 world cups and runner up 3 times. It does not get better than that. (unless your Brazil)

Australia scored goals against 3 teams ranked in the top 10, 2 in the top 5.
