Australia will beat Argentina

I doubt it.

Yeah but you're an idiot

Bobby doubted that Australia would beat Denmark. I thought Australia would win that game or draw. But, I do think that the game against Argentina will be close.

We will probably have this conversation again if Australia manage to pull off the win against Argentina. Australia would then go up against the winner of Netherlands vs USA. You will post up your "doubt it" forecast of Australia winning. Then you will hold up the odds again. And I still will be backing the Socceroos to make the semis.

Well - the Aussies won the last game when Sportsbet had them at 6 to 1.    Smiley

My pick is that it will either be an Aust (beat Arg) v USA (beat Neth) or it will be a more traditional WC clash of Arg v Neth instead.
Personally, I think the world is ready for a world first of seeing Australia V USA.
There has been a few USA v NZ and Aust V Canada (brawls Grin) matches, but I don't ever remember an Aust v USA.
I bet Aust chokes for the USA like a Boxing dive.

Japan def Croatia (here's hoping for a refreshing Qatar WC)
Portugal def Brazil (Brazil are a bunch of Wankers)
England def Senegal
France def Poland
Morocco def Spain.

It seems that playing the 'Soccer' World Cup in New Nations does affect the outcome of the usual winners.

My psychic powers tell me that it will be England def Brazil in the WC Final.
...thanks to its two colonies USA & Aust doing well. Wink

Gee Bobby. I can't remember a World Cup where there has been a lot of 'new talent' nations winning over the usual mob.
Portugal beaten, Brazil beaten, Ur-gay didn't make it with their win, Sth Korea and their Zorro winning.
It's all pretty exciting really. Seeing a lot of prima-donna ego nations being beaten.

I guess playing in a 'new' venue (Qatar) does upset the applecart a bit. Tony Greig was right - it all depends upon the moisture in the pitch.

yes - the $billion teams need to hire talent from some
other countries in the world -
they are paying their own players too much - it's a reality check.

Although -
Just watching now the Germany versus Costa Rica replay.
Germany wins 4 to 2.
Still surprising that the lowest team on the list got 2 goals against Germany.  Shocked

The over-paid prima-donna nations are all above USA.
The Minnow nations are proving their worth for their countries and not their Club contracts as individuals.

It's the same link - it's not being uploaded again.
It shows the ranking of the teams by money value.   Roll Eyes

The graph seems to be on just about every page of this topic. Bobby, we saw it. And any casual observer does not need to see the graph over and over again.
