The next decade will be fascinating, to see which vision triumphs.

Perhaps you would hope that the US and its allies wins completely and quickly. But, sometimes, you can hope for the best, but always need to prepare and be ready for the worst.

Yes, perhaps, the PLA has not seen real combat since Vietnam war with US, or any other war since war with India. The USA, you can argue is not tested as well, when it comes to a more advanced opponent. As in, the USA had never being attacked by an opponent capable to firing supersonic, capital ship destroying, ballistic missiles at its carrier groups. So far, all it had to worry about is outdated SCUD like missiles and a few modified fishing boats from Iran.

To me, the future is very uncertain.

It means 'almost' - in the sense if it looks good enough superficially or if it sounds good enough superficially, then it is good enough actually.

Anyone who has lived in China (or has bought Chinese produce), knows how rampant cha bu duo is throughout Chinese society.

When kept in lockstep with miànzi - keeping face - it means that those who have been defrauded by cha bu duo products or slogans, cannot and will not risk exposing the fraudster, particularly if that fraudster has greater guan xi (influence and connections).

It's the primary reason the CCP is able to oppress the Chinese people.
